There are many free tutorials that will show you how to use GIMP to make
graphic buttons. Try searching 'gimp buttons' or something.

It wasn't me who first suggested modifying fonts.conf. Indeed, I am
probably against this approach.
I suggest it may be easier, (and as you know you can create
collections, which is what I think you wished GIMP could do) to use
OSX's Font Book.app to browse for a font, and then to use GIMP's t

I did not suggest using Font Book.app to deactivate system files. I
tried to say that removing fonts from /System/Library/Fonts is
potentially harmful. I suggested using Font Book.app to browse,
organise and/or manage your fonts.

Don't use GIMP to scroll through fonts, use Font Book.app. It is
designed to let you search, organise and manage your fonts.
OSX is preventing you from doing something harmful. Ordinarily you
ought not remove and/or rename System files, nor (as a rule) whould you
add files to the OSX System/Li

Is there a known performance issue for python-fu compared with script-
fu?
I have a pair of comparable scripts, and I find python-fu to be
noticeably lagged.
I am running 2.8.16 on OSX.

I am having issues creating Python-fu scripts that seem to be editor
related. I have a number of editors, but only one works with python-

To illustrate; I am unable to use the Atom to author/create python-fu
scripts. It isn't an issue with the script. E.g. I create a new python

I found the answer. Not sure why it wasn't working when I first tried
it.
Still don't know how to get the item id as required by (gimp-item-get-

I would likke to find the image ID from a Scheme script.
(gimp-image-list) run in the Scheme console returns e.g. (1 #(5)) so I
know from this that the image-id is 5, but if I have multiple docs open
I may get the return value (2 #(8 5)). So how do I find and pass the
correct image ID to a Sch
Try this: Ctrl+click or right click on the app and select Open from the

I am having difficulty setting the units for an image. By default my
