I believe It appears to work with my Firefox 52 (esr). At least, the add-on is installed and running, and some of its features appear to work, including the additions to the firefox context menu. As to whether it solves these things for real though -- well, to be honest, I'm still not sure.

You should get Adobe Reader or Acrobat to open it, or some third party programme that's independent of your browser. The PDF browser add-ons are not really ideal.
