I have to say that I like the Mayor's thinking in regards to trying new
things. A lot of times new and inventive ways of solving old problems is
the only way to come up with long term solutions.

I can see were some people can get the cold shoulder from some folks, but I
have seen it on both sides. I have seen were elected Republicans have
jumped ship and have not enjoyed a very warm reception by the rank and file
(only my experience from observing DFL conventions).

As for the Governor, stop playing politics and look at what he is trying to
do. He is trying to prevent repeat offenders by making sure they never get

The other side to this coin would be the lack of leadership to deal with
this issue. To the council and the Mayor I would suggest, instead of
playing defense with the problems play a little offense to show some
leadership.

I find it interesting that the Minneapolis school system's idea of lowering
administration personal costs is to eliminate departments, move the staff
into higher positions, and give them all raises. Way to grow, uh go!
