And why not looking option for other way around, modeling and aall up to
lighting.shading rendering can be done in SI, then transfer them to Houdini.
Modeling, character animation, all that where Softiamge is still rather strong.
Then move to Houdini for lookdev, shading lightning and rendering.
Actually the announcementwas made the day AD bought Softimage.
It was really clear from day one.

For you still alive SI guys, I'm stil happy to help out when needed with a

I've rendered bunch of projects done with octane in blender and they were all
pure crap compared to redshift. rendering 5 times longer and still haveing
bunch of noise, just to name one of the issues.
I have no idea how someone can even compare cycles and redshift :))

I have a weird thing happening that wasted me hours and hours.
First there was a referenced model and inside were couple textures images
sequences. I had to offset them and it all looks fine inside live SI. But
when sent to render over deadline and farm, offset is not working anymore.

Hello,
I have a small issue that could use a help with.
I have an alembic that I need to offset time.
Now If I have full sequence in single .abc file then offsetting timing
works fine.
But if sequences is used instead like object..abc then there is no
effect at all it always displays same time.
