You should run it exclusively. If you install other products that perform the same tasks windows will turn defender off to prevent problems. Hth -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+jgrimsby=roadrunner@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Larry Higgins via Talk Sent:

Well this is an example of why this needs to change. Back in the window bridge days the demo would time out after 30 minutes. The cool thing was you did not need to reboot. You just needed to wait 5 minutes or so and then restart window bridge and it would go on working. It would be really nice

Defender is built in to windows 8.x. it is very accessible it is very good and it is free. I have not been infected with anything sense I started using defender on windows 8. If you are not using windows 8.x then you will not have access to defender. You will need to get Microsoft security

word nav while editing Microsoft outlook messages.

I was wondering while editing a Microsoft outlook message if the word nav app could be used. This would be quite useful. I see at the moment it cannot. I loaded the app while in Microsoft outlook and pressed insert+z and nothing happened. I guess this means this app will have to be updated in

I would urge all users of office 2007 and later who don't like the ribbon to check out classic menus for office. This is a ribbon add on that gives you back your classic menu interface. While I have no problem with the ribbon I must confess that I don't understand the layout meaning why things

Hi, To work with the normal start screen just press shift windows. The classic shell works like the older start menu system. So think of it like a vertical menu system with no horizontal menu bar. As for a tutorial not that I know of. Hth -Original Message- From: Talk

Hello, I agree that Window-Eyes should have better support for Dragon NaturallySpeaking. That being said, I do use it on a daily basis with all of my screen readers with no add-ons such as J say quite successfully. It surprises me. However, that Window-Eyes does not support Dragon

Hello, yes this is true, all Windows 7 users will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 free of charge. That being said, the idea that you should get Windows 7 just because the you think it will be easier to navigate is completely not true. As I have said on this subject. A number of times you can

Same here. You might want to check the kb article explaining how to turn off enhancement's. you also might want to make sure you have the latest sound drivers for your sound card. The issue is not windows 8.1. Hth -Original Message- From: Talk

Actually the idea was to play on the one branding idea. One operating system to rule them all. Xbox one. One drive etc. when you consider the fact that windows 8.1 is actualy windows 6.3 the version number doesn't matter much any way. Hth -Original Message- From: Talk
