Off-site backup: If your backup of your data is not too big, then you can store extra copies in your car, a spot near your letter box and on web sites that offer storage (I use Humyo.com). The backup file of The Bat is kept in my documents, so it is included in the backup. The documents are password protected, using an archiving program - I use WinRAR. Also I exclude fat files like photos - these are kept locally rather than on the net as we have slow upload here. Flash drives are handy. Also copy the Bat email that gave the registration code - you will need this to install the old Bat on the new PC. Then on the new PC, download Revo Uninstaller from http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html Install this and then use it to uninstall whatever version of the BAT is on the new PC, reboot. Then install that old version of the Bat that was on the old PC. Then Tools-Restore to restore whatever she had on the old PC. If everything works, you can later update to a later version, as the old back up may not be compatible with the new version. Selective download big files
Is there any way to selectively download emails with big attachments, say over 2MB? People are infatuated with pretty pictures, especially moving pictures, and they like to send them to all their friends. In the last few weeks 2 friends of mine have had their mailbox full and could no longer use their email. Had to add a filter for emails "sent by me" and put them in a separate folder to glance at and trash, because spammers are now spoofing my address as sender. Then finally you trash the emails that are not addressed to you - they are addressed to you in an outer layer, which is dicarded before you see them; inside they appear with different addressees. The rubbish is left in the Inbox and in From PB folders. Here you set the sort order by Subject for a quick glance at everything. Will be intereted in the replies you get for other solutions.
