I turned off the caller ID and voice activation as I found those features to either be distracting or too flakey to rely on. The caller ID thing I felt was unnecessary since voiceover already announced whose calling. Personal preference though I guess. The mute button is super handy.

This isn't necessarily the case. If you do a two finger swipe up to start reading from the top of the screen and then you start flicking right, you could double tap anywhere on the screen when you hear the object you want to activate but you'd have no idea where on the screen that object is.
