button for a few seconds, until my VO says power off, I swipe to power
off, double tap and my iPhone shuts down, its very easy and quick. I

For me, the first thing under Settings, general, Software updates, is a button
labeled, Automatic updates.
Double tapping on that gives, two options, automatically download, and
automatically install.
You can turn either or both off.

There is a way to do this with voiceover. What you do is first, put focus on
any icon of the home screen then use the action rotor to select edit mode then
double tap. Now, put focus on the page indicator I just found just above the
dock toward the middle and then double tap. Now you will s
Ok, I just went there. 14 is dimmed and the only other things I find is
download and install.
I also find customize which does not have an option to turn off automatic
updates.

It would be nice to be able to turn these announcements off. I mean really,
toolbar? But it’s been there all through the beta cycle, so I’m sure it’s

Probably a network wide issue with Xfinity and probably many other network
providers. Given the astly increased load on the internet lately and who knows
what equipment may have burned in the fires, etc…
Glad it is back to normal, or what seems to be normal …

That would be considered a feature by Apple, just like the Dock saying the Dock
when you touch the apps at the bottom of your screen.
Apparently, we are supposed to know we are in the Toolbar, or Dock, as if one
couldn't figure that out because it is the last line of the screen.

I haven't updated via iTunes in many years and never found there were any
issues with updating iOS straight from the device. I still will, however,
remove all apps from the app switcher before any update and for major iOS
version updates like the one just now from iOS 13 to iOS 14 I will also do
