I have an iPad and love it! I would say that it is not a substitute for a computer but is an enhancement to my lifestyle. That being said, yes, you can put your genealogy on the iPad. I am a Mac user and use Reunion. There is a version of Reunion for the iPhone that works well on the iPad too.
