On Sunday, our group doing the Cedar Creek CBC found a single flock of

At 10am today there were at least 2 Buff-breasted Sandpipers in the dirt
field on the Sod Farm on the West side of Goodhue Ave. (Goodhue / Rice
County line) just South of 90th St. with about a dozen Killdeer and a few
semipalmated sandpipers.

Also present was a Solitary Sandpiper and plenty of Tree Swallows and
Red-winged Blackbirds, among other year-round residents.
Near Lake Josephine, I found a Blackpoll warbler and Northern Waterthrush,
several White-throated & 1 Swamp Sparrow.

Now I'm wondering do Bufflehead lay their eggs in other birds nests? Either
another Bufflehead or other species as well? I've heard some waterfowl do
just that.
