Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading my computer to windows 7. I'm just wondering, will I be able to play all the accessible games I have right now? If you want these extra libraries the only way to get them is to run the dxwebsetup.exe file you get from http://www.microsoft.com/directx/ and it will install any and all missing components as well as upgrade DirectX. So if RS Games products are not running that would be because the DirectX you have is incomplete. So I think the number one problem people have here is the don't really understand these two facts and jump to false conclusions that they have the latest, they have everything, etc when they really don't. I think it's about time developers start adding an online component to their titles to make games a more social experience. no offense to any developer on this list, but I'd much rather go online and play a few rounds of super street fighter IV or some rock band than play most accessible games. why? because I'm interacting with people, not playing the exact same offline mode over and over. even if street fighter didn't have online features it would have been much more replayable than any accessible game out there mostly due to the trial mode the game contains, which can keep you busy for months. in fact there are people who've yet to complete trial mode on street Fighter IV and the game's been out for over a year! can you guys make such claims about audio games? back to online features. even the few audiogames that have online playability, we actually have to communicate through text, when most mainstream games are using voice chat, and even video chat! Is it all that difficult to add voice chat to games? I'm no developer so I'm asking because I like to be informed on these things. This is why when people ask me if we'll ever catch up to the mainstream market, I tell them that it'll never happen. devs need to really start concentrating on what the gamers want. and please I don't want to hear the oh but audio games are only a 1 man operation excuse. Hi, Has anyone tried this game lately? I just downloaded it, and the intro plays for about three seconds, and then it says the program is unresponsive. [Audyssey] Question on the Apple II GS.
Hi everyone, I'm assuming there's a programmer on here who may know the answer to my question, or maybe someone else might know the answer. Here it goes.. I'm purchasing an Apple II GS with the echo and a disk drive (5.25 disk drive), now what I'm wondering is, how to convert apple Disk images to the Apple disk? For example, I'm mainly buying this so I can play the Eamon games. There's a website with all the Eamon games as disk images, but I don't know how to get them on the disk for the apple from my computer. Someone sent me a program that converts the files to the Apple II GS, but I have no idea how to use it. Any help would be appreciated. Ryan C. Hi Tom, Can you add a key to interupt speach? When I use the view command, sometimes I don't want to hear everything it has to say, so I'd like a key so I can interupt it. Also a way to interupt the little intro at the start after you pick the dificulty. I was also wondering, is it over if you die on level two? You have to play the whole game over again if you die on level two? You can't start where you left off? Or is this just in the demo because you can't save your game? Hi, I was just wondering, how come Jaws is very slow and sometimes unresponsive in the PC version of monopoly? I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem, but when I press the arrows to go through my choices, sometimes it takes up to five seconds before Jaws tells me the option. Hi Tom, When you're at bat, you can use the following buttons: X is swing, circle is bunt, square is power swing. When you're pitching, the buttons go like this: X is pitch one, circle is pitch two, triangle is pitch three, and square is pitch four. R1 is pitch five if the pitcher has a fifth pitch. You press one of the picth buttons, and then you press X to pitch the ball. You can also use the left analogue stick to move the ball to different locations. If I were you, I'd turn on the auto fielding option. This way the computer will field the ball for you, and if you turn on the auto throw mode, they'll throw the ball to the bases for you. Square can be used for a power swing in all modes except rookie. So, if you want to use the power swing, you have to change the dificulty setting. There is no auto fielding mode in online play which sucks. I wrote to Sony, asking them if they'd add an auto fielding option in MLB 2010. As for changing the pitch speed, this is not necessary, but you do want to set pitching mode to classic, not meter. Hi Tom, The pitch mode setting is in the game play options menu. It's right off the main screen, ya know where you choose which mode you want to play, just go into the options menu, and it's a little ways down. I'm not sure how many times you have to go down because I have MLB 09 the show for PS3, but it shouldn't be anymore then nine or ten times. How are we supposed to get passed the enimies? Even when I get passed them, and I'm behind them, they still hit me. Ducking doesn't work, the only thing I can think of doing is jumping over them. That doesn't work either, though. I really think there should be more amo in the pistol. Fifteen shots just isn't enough, especially since it take like ten shots to kill certain enimies. When you only have 15 bullets, and you don't pick up a weapon in the first couple rooms, it's almost impossible to beat. Tom, I'm not at all saying make the game easier. I just beat the game, so I know it's not impossible. The expert level may be, but that's a whole other story. All I'm saying is, at least for the beginner dificulty make more weapons available, more things on the ground to pick up, ETC. I don't think people are thinking about how this is only the first level. If the first level is this hard, it's only going to get harder from here in out. Hi Tom, I just wanted to let you know that I still get the breathing bug in the main menu after I die. I've gotten it three times now, and I did uninstall the other beta before installing this one. I also had a question. I'm only going to ask it once, and I'll take your answer for what it is. I'm not going to argue about it or anything, I just think it's logical. Can we at least start with the dagger, so we have something to defend ourselves with when we run out of amo? The dagger is the weakest of the weapons, so I don't think it's a big deal. I still can't understand how you jump over the enimies, I've tried it several times, and I always get killed, or at least half of my health gets taken away. I really don't care if you change it or not because I've already beaten the game, and eagerly awaiting new levels. I just think having the dagger makes sense. Kind of like Shades of doom. [Audyssey] Just a thought on Q9.
Hi guys, I think the enimies in Q9 should be made so they fall in the pit if trying to attack you when you're standing at the edge of one. Either that, or they should stand at the edge, and wait for you to jump over. I'm thinking of Super Liam here when I say this. That's how it was in that game, and I think it'd be good if it was like that too in this one. Plus, it's more realistic. If an enimy is trying to go over a pit, it's only fare that they'd fall into it, or if they wait on the edge.. I just think it's more realistic. Any thoughts? Hi Tom and all, OK, my two cents worth again... I think adding a keystroke to tell you how far away the monster is takes away some of the challenge. The look feature/review mode should cover this feature... Knowing that there's a monster in the room, is all you should have to know. As allways, Tom this is up to you in the end, but this is what I think. One other suggestion that'd I'd like to make, and I made the same one to James North is to add a key stroke telling you how many gold/gems you could collect on the level. I.E. You've collected 4 gems out of 10, or something like that. Either that, or have the voice tell you at the end of the level how many gold/gems you could've gotten. Take care, Ryan C. Hi all, Has anyone beaten this game? I'm stuck on the second level. There's these fireballs that come at you after you hit the switch in the first room. I have no idea what to do after that. Hi everyone, Kitchensinc is working now. It turned out to be a jaws issue with internet explorer. Like I said earlier, it worked with firefox, but I didn't want to keep switching to firefox just to go on that one site. So, I'm not sure what I did or how I fixed it, but it's working now. Hi, Exactly what Phil said. When you reach the top of the staircase, the enemy is right there like right next to you. You lose quite a bit of health no matter what, and there's no way to shoot it unless you turn around, walk a few steps, and then turn back around and fire at it. All the while it's attacking you.
