The date of LG would be either 16 or 26. I looked at the record above where
he spelled it out and it's 26. Numbers that look like a G would be a 6.
The year is 1664. Those Gs are 6s.

Jacki, I hope this helps with Antonio do Rego and Maria Francisca. I looked at
Canto's index for Faja de Baixo. They had 4 other kids that I see...

Jacki, I tried replying to your post earlier, but the reply hasn't shown up on
my device.
The record says on Dec 3, 1781 in the Ermida of Nossa Senhora dos Anjos, Thome

Hi Everyone,
It's been a *really *long time since I've posted anything to the group.
Life sort of got in the way of researching. :) I'm trying to get back to
it and I've realized that I'm really out of practice reading these. I could
only read the basics anyway but after all this time, I'm

Thanks Cheri; I have a little note on my laptop with some of the combos but;
didn’t have the list for the “c”. I’ll look into it.
And thanks again to Gonçalo.

Sam, press the ALT key and type 135 on the keypad. Also, there's a way to
put a little program or app on your computer. You'd press the Ctrl or Alt
or whatever key and then cycle through the various "c"s that are in all the
alphabets. Because I'm a math teacher, I seem to memorize numbers.
Goncalo; Thank you for this further clarification. Much appreciated.
Forgive me, I don’t know how to put the accent mark in your name.

Yes, it is the other way around.
After their names it says "... esta natural ... ". "esta" is for her,
otherwise it would be "este". And then it says " ... e aquelle n[atural]
... ". "aquelle" for him, otherwise it would be "aquela".

It's after Maria Francisca's name. So I take that as she's a native of the
parish of the Apostle of Sao Mateus in the place of Ribeirinha and that
something of this freguesia of Nossa Senhora d' Ajuda place of Pedro Miguel
where they are living.

Hi all; I’ve found the marriage of my 3rd great grandparents but; can’t quite
make out the names of the bride’s parents. Bottom right, Jose Francisco

Francisco (Catarino) and Maria Francisca. I see her parents as:

I’ve got the important stuff but; do I have the padrinhos names correct. Jose
Augusto Homen de ?? and his mai? mai?
Mel, you got most of if and using your base here's what I'm reading.
Antonio, son of Joze (Jose) Muniz (Moniz) and Maria Benevides naturals of
this Parish Church of the Divine Holy Spirit in the place of Maia.
Was born 23 Feb 1753 and baptized 26 Feb 1753 where they are
parishioners.
I finally found my ancestor, Antonio Moniz's baptismal record, in 1753,
Maia. Unfortunately, it's so faded that it's hard to make out.
Would someone give it a once over to see if I've got it right? I'd
appreciate it. It's image 0040, the one in the upper left hand corner.

tell me if I have the gist of it correct and perhaps fill in my question marks.
