Unfortunately, the kernel looks for FDCONFIG.SYS and CONFIG.SYS
only (I'd kick the latter, BTW), so all FreeDOS kernels will share this

I'd suggest to reduce CPU frequency if possible or to
improve the cooling / ventilation. Among other flaws mentioned
above this definitely is a "mechanical / thermal flaw" because
the CPU should NOT be able to overheat even if it is

No known complaints so far ... but DOS won't be able to use more than
1 core and 32 bits ;-)
Check also the graph card (should have intact VESA), sound (old ICH
better than HDA), USB (should have UHCI), Floppy (should be present at
all), Speaker (should be present at all), PS/2 (should be present

Nice, standalone EXE's, not bloated, no swapping, but it runs your
code in Ring0 with
paging OFF so it will catch less of your BUG's than HDPMI or CWSDPMI
would do ;-)

Of course it might be a good idea or necessary to disassemble the or
some existing Sierra ISA driver (also "PC" speaker ? Covox ?) to see
how it communicates with the main game file, when you one day have
something able to "talk" to your HDA chip.
