Next week's Melbourne meeting is about the struggle for decent health and
safety standards in the workplace. Taking on the bosses, the role of
WorkCover and the unions, being a good OHS rep, rank and file experiences

Union) and Ben Matthews (CFMEU rank and file OHS rep) are speaking on about

This Friday, July 20th results from the Melbourne City Council
election begin to come through. Socialist Party scrutineers at the count
will be phoning results in to the Comrades Bar. All comrades and friends
are invited to join Steve Jolly and John Maciulis from the Putting
as the Community First ticket.
The final figures and results of distribution of preferences should be
available by tomorrow night.
During the campaign SP members and other supporters of the Putting People
First tickets distributed about 10,000 leaflets and in this way ensured
that voters had

own ten corporations you get 20 votes, and another 1 vote if you live in
the electorate!
