The best deal for the money right now appears to be a reasonably late model
Chevy Impala or Pontiac Grand Prix or
Grand Am or whatever they call it. I see 2005 models advertised with 25K miles

IIRC, you set the engine to 15 deg BTDC then check the IP. Actually, you
can remove the timing plug and use a mirror to see the cam lug down the hole
and pretty well tell how close you are, its like eyeballing down a tube and
judging if the lug

Mobil 1 doesn't have one. Amsoil does I think...

I have heard the argument regarding W201s in our country that holds that
they tend to fall into the hands of sort of, well, trashy people. It makes
at least some sense in that I assume they were less expensive than larger
models when new. But it doesnt make sense in that

I did. It was an interesting, quick read. The author is not a car guy
and it is almost more of a Saharan
I read the book and was pretty disappointed. I had high expectations
since I love adventure driving and W201s, but this was some of the
worst travel writing I've ever read. It reads as a brief list of
events covering too much time in too little detail to really be an
engaging story IMO. If
