Subject: Cartridge question
Please excuse this possibly-stupid question; I'm new to MSX. ^.^;; Is it
possible to boot from MSX-Basic or MSX-DOS 1 to cartridge

Hm, that's why you should define the *algorithm* as a recursive one and then
use some recusrion removal tactics for
Hi msx'ers!
some weeks ago I started with a little msx game, but now I'm a bit stuck.
I don't know how to explain my question exactly, but i'll try ;)
I have to make a ball disappearing routine just like in puyo
puyo/klax/collumns
and all those other games.
for example, if I have this matrix

for example, if I have this matrix (serie of ball's):
12436531
14312262
41222432
it has to change in something like this one:

Duh - ripping an Java algorithm of the internet and presenting that
on a silver platter is not the essence of a 'programming guru'.
That's more like 'script kiddie'...

Hi,
I'll add an example, I hope that helps understanding the algorithm.
I'll take your example game field:
(the numbers are the colors of the balls)
12436531
14312262
41222432
I'll label the balls using uppercase letters:
ABCDEFGH
IJKLMNOP
QRSTUVWX
The initialisation of the union find data
Nice method indeed!
In this matrix, group A isn't removed. Is that a mistake in your example or
did I misunderstand your removal rule and should group A in fact not be
removed?
He probably only wants balls removed that form a row. In any direction, of 3
balls long. This pattern:
x
x
x
1101
10110011
01000111
In this matrix, group A isn't removed. Is that a mistake in your example
or

removed?
your "ballremoving" routine was very nice, but actually I only want the
balls to be removed, if there are
