like others have said, depends what you're putting them onwent with
Metzler Lasertecs on the 700S and they seem to be good so far, only like
500 miles on them though!

My recommendation depends on what you ride (Nighthawk 250, 450, 650, 750,
etc.). I might be willing to try cheap tires on a 250 that I wouldn't try
with my 750, but only because I've seen cheap tires on 250s in action in
MSF courses, and with my fat ass, I doubt a 250 would move very fast, and
I really like the Pilot Activs. Bike came with one on the rear, but a
Metzeler on the front. Switched that out to match the rear, and the front
felt much more confident. Smooth, but handles really well, plus you can get
OEM sizes.

Since bikes have only two tires, the issue of safety is critical. So
it's not smart to scrimp on quality, regardless of how much or little
you ride. I'd go with the best you can afford.
Dennis Kirk, Bike Bandit, and Motorcycle Warehouse are all good

You pick a dealer near you from an approved list at the time you buy

I knew I should have bought that 700SC instead of this 650SC!
I have to bungee my pizza slices to the pillion seat.

To post to this
tires are better than my ability as a rider. That suits me
fine. The other way around is unacceptable.

Oh, I wondered should there be something in there. And I had noted your
preference for Avons. I found it in my stored 'motorcycle fix it help'
messages. I'll look them up. I need a set of tires for a 650 and a 700 NH.
Thanks dennis, Graham ps, when are you moving

If my Black, Round and Holds Air Kendas get me from Point A to Point B
and Back hey I am Happy. I will tell you why, If I Planned on Setting
the Land
Avon makes the Road Runner which is a fantastic tire for the 83-85
Nighthawk. I have a set on my '83 and they are really nice. My buddy
ran them on his '83 NH commuter and got huge miles from them between
changes. He sold the bike after putting 114k miles on her with most of
those tire changes

You should look at www.tirerack.com. They've got some pretty good
prices on motorcycle tires. They also ship to a list
Quote: I have Shinko's (what used to be Cheng Shin). The rear was
$65. When I compared it to the more expensive tire's, it was heavier
had a much stronger side-wall.
Aye carumba!!
Good luck with that!

I put Cheng-Shin Barracuda-Vs on my 650. $109 for both including
installation and balancing (I just brought the rims in). They seemed fine
for me. They didn't wander or follow grooves too badly and did decent in
rain, cold weather, and hot weather. I didn't try racing them or diving into
turns
