My previous surface mount boards have not been overly tight but this is not

Hi all,
I've been getting very little traffic from the forum in the past week.
Is it just my system or has everybody gone to the DXP forum?
Messages are at the 3 or 4 a day level where previously 20 per day would not
be uncommon.

still edit the component and set the Selection check box to perfom selection

I have tried exporting as ASCII and re-importing with out improvement.
Any ideas on this one?

Steve,
If you have Camtatstic I think it is capable of doing what you want.
There is a menu entry under Bonus|Film Wizard. This Film wizard has the
option of both negating and /or reversing the gerber files.
I haven't tried it for real but it sounds like it might be helpful.

Our CAD guys complain about the extraneous stuff they get in the DWG as well
as the huge file size (20Meg on occasion).

Hi Adeel,
The colours for the PPC can be set independently of those in PCB.
In PPC go to Tools | Preferences | Colours & Grey Scale
This will allow you to tailor the colours to suit.

Peter,
Rather than removing the comments, tick the HIDE box for the component
comments in your PCB layout.
This way they are still there (satisfies Protel) but they do not appear in
printed documentation (satisfies you).
This change can be done globally so it should be a quick and easy answer to
pport this character.
Thanks in advance,

Thanks Paul,
That's what I needed.
The +/- symbol only seems to work in the default font.
Not a real problem though. I normally use the Sans Serif font but I can drop
back to Default for the symbols I need.
