more points. Anything more than 2 points and you will see where the distortions
come from and give you an idea of what your are dealing with. Finish with

Hi,
Or you could make a line, extract the nodes and then use the point sampling
tool. If you create a straight line with two nodes, you can densify the line.
This way, the nodes will be evenly spaced.

Our office is a bit bigger. We have some data on a Samba Linux file server and
permissions are decided using the samba user and group management. We also have
an Postgis server. http://www.postgis.net/ but most of the Data is files (shp,

Hi,
This is a well know issus with this plugin. The easiest way is to zoom on the
area and to save the image (save as image). Pan and zoom and do this a few
times. Then open these images in Qgis. Keep in mind that there are
limitations on the use of Google Earth images. I wonder if this
Hi,
I have not used this in a while now but the first step, if I remember is to
export the object style from the .tab into a new field.
This is done in Mapinfo. Have you done this step?

Hi,
Is your file CRS in degrees and your triangle made to 3 points? If so, make
the file in a layer that uses a CRS that uses meter, like a UTM zone 18, then
densify the geometry. This will add points along the line of the triangle.
There is a tool for that. Make sure the project CRS is the
Hi,
There is no easy way. The colours on the screen will never be as the colours
on print even with a screen calibration (but it would help if you can calibrate
the screen with the printer). I normally deal with the publisher or the
printer directly. You can ask for a recommended colour
Hi Giacomo.
You can access gdal_grid from qgis. (Raster menu). Use the moving average
algorithm.
If it's not there, you may need to modify the gdal command line by pressing
the yellow pencil.

Hi,
Not sure why you are getting this specific error. Just try running it is Saga.
It's already installed with QGIS. Saga is easy to use.
Is this the first time you have installed QGIS or did you have a previous
version installed?
Did you have a 32bit install before?

Hi,
As an archaeologist, I do that a lot. You will need to scan the map to create
a .tiff. The you use the qgis georeferencing plugin to place the map in the
correct spot.
http://www.qgistutorials.com/en/docs/georeferencing_basics.html
This should help. Also look at the qgis documentation.
Hi,
Have tried killing the rendering of the layer? There is a small button on the
lower right for that. It should work for you.

Hi Nyall,
Very interesting. I have a few comments. Where would go If I wanted to
encourage more the development of the the new raster calculator for qgis 3 (one
that is multithreaded, GPU enabled and huge raster ready)? This is a real game
stopper for using qgis with Lidar data. I have
