Hi Kevin, something you might want to try; sounds indecent, but somebody's
got to do itg.

Subject: CS'bagged' cathode
Hello all. Another report on trying to eliminate plate-out, inspired by a
recent mailing to and from 'Ole Bob'. Some months ago I posted a speculation
that wrapping
that Ag+ is shorthand for
argentous ion (singly charged silver cation)?

yields nearly all the positive ions
A frightening thought. If it starts decomposing at 87 degrees (celsius?),
what's the story when one adds it for cooking? Sure the label may say 'not
suitable for cooking', but that's not the same as saying 'dangerous if cooked'.

and reducing there will be H+ ions, not Ag+. Not sure how
effective wrapping would be using the traditional LVDC method - ie relying on
residual impurities in DW to start things yields nearly all the positive ions
in solution as Ag+.

circuitry - at most a
simple resistor in series, depending on voltage source and desired current.

I am
at the
cathode (a reducing site) when making LVDC CS. Moral - don't mix the two. In
fact it would probably pay to keep ingestion separated by a half hour or
more.
