CS hasn't improved mine and I take CS daily for my health in general. Also
didn't work when I used it in my eyes.

Next week, my first cataract is being removed. Then the second one goes in
July.

I need to be able to see, to read, and much much more. Since my husband had
really good outcomes with both of his eyes, I am seeing the same for myself.

From my understanding there are 2 (at least) causes of cataracts. One
is depositing of hydrogenated/saturated oils in the lens, like Crisco.
The other is scar tissue from damage, usually excessive UV radiation,
like the sun. Flax seed oil dissolves the hydrogenated oils allow them
to move out of the lens clearing them. It will not help lens that have
scar tissue.

At least that is my understanding.

RE: CSCataracts-Glaucoma

2012-04-14 Thread Dianne France

Which form of SOD should you use? I tried looking it up and there are two
forms: Superoxide Dismutase helps the body use zinc, copper, and manganese.
There are
two types of SOD: copper/zinc (Cu/Zn) SOD and manganese (Mn) SOD. Each type of
SOD plays a different role in keeping cells healthy. Cu/Zn SOD protects the
cells’ cytoplasm, and Mn SOD protects their mitochondria from free radical
damage.

SOD sounds like it would be a good thing to use. Would really like some input
from those using it on which type to use. Dianne Subject: Re:

MSM - again I make my own dilution at 10%

Re: CScataracts - salt in the CS

2008-04-21 Thread Ode Coyote

Anytime you add anything salty to CS, mix and use it immediately.
The reaction takes a bit of time.
Adding salt to already made CS does not increase the amount of silver in
a given container, it changes it to a less effective form.

It takes retained amount per body weight to turn you blue and most
people eliminate silver in any form so fast that turning blue is quite rare
at any PPM or volume over a life span.
Researchers had extreme difficulty inducing Agryria to even study while
using injected preparations at thousands of PPM. They did manage to
discover that it takes less silver cast into a bullet to kill not blue
dogs, though.

The PPM caution is about avoiding a possibility, vs a very low
probability. If it's not possible, probability doesn't count.
If the PPM is so low that the water kills you before the possibility of
silver retention can crop up, well, dead people look a bit blue, but the
silver didn't do it. [Too much water turns you blue]

The problem with making silver chloride was that people didn't know how
much silver was in it. They were using PPM instructions that just weren't
true and went into the ranges of possibility.

Even at that, virtually no one turned blue.

Your tears are salty and using CS in your eyes does the same thing as
adding some salt to it, but the greatest benefit is already accomplished by
the time it changes into less effective silver chloride.

Silver chloride will kill germs, just not as well or as fast.
Mix and use fast ...and all is well.

 My eyes are already blue...usually.
Now and then, one is green and the other is orange.

If you use salt in the CS for your eyes you can bring it to a saline level
similar to tears to avoid the dryness/stinging. The distilled water you

Re: CScataracts - Can-C

2008-04-19 Thread Gene Wolfe
I did Google Can-C cataracts and came up with a website that said the
active ingredient is N-acetylcarnosine. The price is $239.94 +
shipping and handling. The description sounded very much like a
product that I had used for several months to dissolve cataracts
called Brite Eyes III. This is a product put out by Life Extension
and the key ingredient is N-acetylcarnosine. This product is
available from IHerb for $25.50 for 2 vials. A 6 month supply would
be $153 + shipping and handling. I used Brite Eyes III for several
months along with taking Nattozimes but it did not solve my cataract
problem. It did dissolve my wife's cataract, however.

The product I am using now to try to dissolve my cataract is
Eyebright Formula available from
http://www.organicsolutionsstore.com/ Doc Shillington says that if
you use this solution 2 or 3 times a day it will solve the problem in
2 weeks. I have not had that result, but it does seem to have
stopped the progression of the cataract. If you order this solution,
you need to know that one of the main ingredients is cayenne pepper.
To say this product stings is an understatement, but I do know that
cayenne is a wonderful herb.

Good luck,
Gene

which is to keep things out of each other's way - I use CS of course for

everything and more ! However when I use anything I tend to use it
alone, that is to
say I will use it and leave a half hour or so before using another
product - so I make
my MSM only with distilled water and keep one bottle beside my computer
and one
beside the TV as well as my CS, and use them each every half hour if I
have been doing alot of work or watching I always believe in

especially lower back and hips and some on the other joints as well. It
is very painful. I had to stop *ALL* coffee for about 3 weeks before
clearing this out. Now I can only drink some coffee about once a week
without these effects. Without it, and with glucosamine, I am doing
amazing things...

MSM was helpful for my lower back and hands, but (really!) exacerbated a

As far as I now flax seed oil is pure normally, there is no potency
variable. You should be able to simply get capsules, and cut one open
as you need it. Once or twice a day I think is sufficient. Basically
SOME cataracts are caused by hydrogenated oils settling out in the lens
of the eye. This is basically Crisco. Flax seed oil dissolves the
solid fats, and allows them to be transported out of the lens.
Cataracts caused by scar tissue will likely not respond to this
treatment. I don't have any brand name information.

This is the first message I can find on using flax oil.

---BeginMessage---
Hi,

First, I send my thanks to Brickey for this idea. I have a friend, a
fellow member of our church who is in his 70's and had restricted vision due to
cataracts. He is a vet and the folks managing his case would not allow surgery
because it wasn't that bad yet but it was sufficiently bad that he could only
drive in daylight hours.

Due to your suggestion, I bought a bottle of flax seed oil and took it to
him at his home a couple of years ago; asking him to put a drop in each eye
every day. He said that he had to do the treatment just prior to retiring in
the evening because the flax seed oil caused his vision to become a bit blurry
for a little while; but when he awoke his vision was as clear as before putting
the flax seed oil into his eyes. Within three months there was noticeable
improvement. Two years later, his cataracts (if there are any), are no longer
a problem.

Speaking of looking for solutions to various health issues (someone
mentioned this earlier), dear ones, I have found that searching the SilverList
archives always presents good ideas. Thank you Mike, and the folks who make
them available!!

Best regards,
  :) Mar

  Hiya Brickey,

It's so amazing to me; while searching via search engines for alternative
methods of treating cataracts (specifically in dogs) I got absolutely nothing.
When I began taking my plight to various alternative lists, I found there are
treatments abound! And most are very simplistic.
If only there were enough hours in a day to create a website covering these
methods, with scientific and anecdotal evidence, for the others that are
searching...

My precious girl lost her other eye to glaucoma. I searched, begged and
pleaded for an alternative option, but general consensus was that there isn't
one, and we settled on eneucleation to eliminate the pain, and the need for
drugs. Between her diagnosis of glaucoma, and the removal of the eye, the
cataract in her *good* eye rendered her blind. She was pronounced a good
candidate for cataract surgery (at age 12!), but at $1000 it simply isn't a
possibility.

I so appreciate hearing these testimonies. They give me hope, and good ideas.

  Thanks guys!

filled a 1 ounce bottle with an eye dropper. Every day she got one drop in her
eye for at least two months. Her eyelids became crusty and I just stopped
treating her. I was astonished to see the cataract shrank to a pin point and
after several more weeks totally was gone. After seeing this I also used
linseed oil (Flaxseed oil) in my eyes. DR said I had a bunch of small cataracts
growing in both eyes. I had a yearly check up about 5 weeks later and DR said
NO CATARACTS. Since then about 5 years ago the cataracts are coming back in my
eyes, I now make my own CS so I use CS + 10% DMSO in my eye wash cup, cataracts
are still there but not growing.

When I treated my dog I did not even refrigerate the linseed oil. I found
that it goes rancid later so when I treated myself I kept the bottle
refrigerated. I guess that our garage was cold enough when I treated my dog to
act like a refrigerator.

Thanks to all who have responded to us. He has used ibuprofen but it did

until Celebrex. He did the complete CMO thing with the product recommended on
this list or some other by someone. It has been a long time and I don't recall
the particulars. It was from an individual person, not a company. His problem
began 5 years after a back surgery. The MD said arthritis would set in after
about 5 years and it did.  However, we had no idea it would be so crippling;
we just expected aches and pains, not constant agony. I will tell him about
the flax oil drops since we have and use Barlean's regularly. He will give it
a good try I'm sure. He has upped his cs intake to a pint or so a day and
doesn't have to be cajoled or reminded. I think he will be interested to find
out that one of the iodine docs-maybe Abraham, recommends 50 mgs. per day for 3
months for saturation, then down to 12.5 for maintainance. Since the iodine
has made a noticeable difference at a lower dose, it sounds reasonable to give
that a shot. And I am making a gallon of new cs just now--a quart or so a day
might be a good idea. What's a little blue between friends. :) But I make the
good stuff anyway. Thanks again to all. I have ordered the Can-C. It

Hi There Hanneke - yes I make it only with distilled water, I have a
personal thought
which is to keep things out of each other's way - I use CS of course for
just about
everything and more ! However when I use anything I tend to use it
alone, that is to
say I will use it and leave a half hour or so before using another
product - so I make
my MSM only with distilled water and keep one bottle beside my computer
and one
beside the TV as well as my CS, and use them each every half hour if I
have been doing alot of work or watching I always believe in
the KISS system

I understand about the pain your husband is in with the arthritis. I also was
on Celebrex 200 and Vicadin 750 twice daily for the pain along with many other
drugs and muscle relaxers they thought I needed for arthritis and Fibromyalgia.
I also was having to see a cardiologist for the severe chest pains which I
found out later the Celebrex was causing. From all the prescriptions they had
me on (15) I really messed myself up and probably my liver. I was homebound
and very unhappy. I didn't want to live that way either.

A girlfriend was trying to help me with IBS (side effect of fibromyalgia) and I
started rebuilding my digestive track with kombucha and kefir. It was amazing
what being able to digest your food does for you. After I started there I
decided to get myself off everything else and start a more organic lifestyle.
I quit the Celebrex and that was quite painful. I also quit the Vicadin as it
was effecting my personality and felt I was becoming addicted. I was on a
Fibromyalgia study with a specialist and once done with the study stopped all
of those meds. Slowly I felt better but the pain was still difficult.

I think it was Wayne or Marshall that mentioned a protocol for arthritis. I
hadn't heard of that before. I totally put my faith in doctors but with them
was going downhill. I started reading the posts and web referrals and started
with cs to kill out pathogens if that was what was causing the body reactions.
I also started CMO and other supplements and it has helped my knees so much.
I'm not sure I am using the right brand of CMO because my hands aren't better
but I'm walking again.

There are more supplements I will be adding and feel I will continue to
improve. There are some really knowledgeable people on this site that can
advise him but your husband is going to have to decide to turn things around
for himself. The cataracts are the least of his worries in my opinion because
the drugs he is on are so very hard on the body. My husband has a favorite
saying about when you are A_s deep in alligators it is sometimes hard to
remember your purpose was to drain the swamp. It is a personal decision that
is sometimes very hard to make.

  Hiya Brickey,

It's so amazing to me; while searching via search engines for alternative
methods of treating cataracts (specifically in dogs) I got absolutely
nothing. When I began taking my plight to various alternative lists, I found
there are treatments abound! And most are very simplistic.
If only there were enough hours in a day to create a website covering
these methods, with scientific and anecdotal evidence, for the others that
are searching...

My precious girl lost her other eye to glaucoma. I searched, begged and
pleaded for an alternative option, but general consensus was that there
isn't one, and we settled on eneucleation to eliminate the pain, and the
need for drugs. Between her diagnosis of glaucoma, and the removal of the
eye, the cataract in her *good* eye rendered her blind. She was pronounced a
good candidate for cataract surgery (at age 12!), but at $1000 it simply
isn't a possibility.

I so appreciate hearing these testimonies. They give me hope, and good

Re: CSCataracts - Linseed oil is not Flax seed oil

2005-04-15 Thread Grant

Linseed oil from the hardware store is NOT the same thing as flax oil
from the Health Food Store.

Linseed oil is as I recall, POISON if eaten/ingested, while flax seed
oil can be healthfull if propery produced and stored.

The both come from flax, but the difference is how they are
manufactured. I believe linseed oil is boiled, and changed chemically
in that way.

Why eye surgeons wait until a
cataract is "ripe" before operating: even in these days eye surgery is
not without risk, a certain percentage of the surgeries will "fail" and
lead to complications or complete loss of sight. The percentage must
surely vary with the competence of the surgeon, but it is a safe bet
that not one single surgeon has a 100% success rate. Therefore it is
felt that it is best to wait until the sight in the cataract eye is
essentially nil before performing surgery. I know for a fact that this
was the reason for waiting 35 years ago when I worked for eye doctors,
and though there are now artificial lenses and a lot of improvements in
the surgery, it still is not without risk.

When I tried alternative treatments for cataracts about 5 years ago, I was
reminded that the very last place my body wanted to drop off toxins and other

Bottom line removing a cataract by surgery does nothing for the rest of the

One treatment I tried was cayenne in the eye wash cup. A way to tell how
tough you are is if you open your eyes during the wash. I got rid of my

mainly using flaxseed oil but they are now returning. CS and DMSO is now my
preferred treatment.

I haven't noticed any more aspergillus mold during pressure sinus flushes

I know it is too early to tell but I am brewing another gallon of 40 PPM CS

linseed oil as sold in hardware stores is for use as oil coating or mixed with
paint as the glue to hold pigment together. Have used hundreds of gallons. It
is boiled. Raw linseed oil will not dry and is used as wood preservative. These

Flaxseed oil name used for cold pressed and used on or in people.

Reports of cataracts being helped is with cold pressed flax oil. Use of linseed
oil for paint could do real harm. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

Boy you got to be tough to do the Atkins stuff. I have done it a few
times and am kinda doing it now. I stopped eating flour and sugar about

lead to how bad flour is for you which backed up what Atkins has been
saying all along. Never noticed a change in my eyes tho. I was telling
my mom to try CS in the water for her dog who has cataracts real bad and
then told her to put CS drops in the eyes but never considered DMSO
mixed in with it.

checked our refrigerator for the Flax Seed Oil. It is made by Nature's Live.
The site URL is:

Once there, pick [Products], from the upper, left side of the screen. Then
pick [Nutritional Oils], which is about two-thirds the way down the list on

For some reason the URL does not change as you page through the site.

Their Flax Seed Oil is very tasty :)

I gather that you actually used linseed oil. I do not know much about these
oils. Are you saying that:
+ flaxseed oil would be preferred,
+ either oil would work fine,
+ or that the two oils are actually the same.

I think that the flaxseed oil will be more refined.
Spend a little time with google.
Nothing - no site I checked even hinted at eye drops.

My last eye exam revealed beginning cataracts
so I was searching for over 1 hour.

There are probably issues about purity, but consider the source. Most of the
stuff out there comes from the same vat. It has water and die added to it
and
a new smaller container and a very expensive lable.

I would purchase flaxseed oil from a health food store, not use linseed
oil. Linseed oil may have other chemicals added that would be unhealthy
or toxic and is often processed by solvents and exposed to heat. It is
not intended for internal or external use.
