When I add a new CD, and before a rescan, I use "browse by folder".
It's been my experience that Browse By Folder is based on the scanned
library because it does not do a "read" of the file system when it's used,
but simply offers a different 'view' of the scanned libra

Sanity check ... can you use SqueezeLite on a computer & listen through
computer speakers? If yes, then LMS is likely good & trouble may be
hardware. I lost my SB Classic this year. Just powered off on it's own
once, came back for a month then went away again.

I'm not surprised by this. I've been digitizing old LPs, so I've obviously
missed tagging them. Getting from the LMS listing to a listing that shows
tracks and file paths to find the actual files so I can tag them correctly

Well, I tried using phpLiteAdmin, supposedly a SQLite version of
phpSQLAdmin, but it does not 'recognize' library.db as a SQLite db. I
even copied the entire ./Cache folder and nothing doing.
But I'm good now -- using mp3tag is the way to go.

Understand it's an initial effort, so no worries on lack of polish. Some
comments:
1. Grid mode relies solely on album cover. If there is no album cover you
use a default icon - but no text. Thus in grid mode there is no visual data
about the album, neither in the grid view nor with a cursor-
I am guessing, but the sorting algorithm may use textual rather than
numerical sorting logic.
Perhaps 10.1, 10.2 (or 10.01 and 10.02) rather than 10a, 10b will give you
the results you want?

There is no equivalent for the Pi (a LinuxOS based system) for the Windows
Control Panel application. There are no "tabs" to be seen.
Typically one starts/stops LMS from a command line terminal. Or, if one has
used a product like piCorePlayer or Max2Play (both created for Raspberry

Greg - FYI - there is a scanner.pl file in the Slimserver folder. A look at
it shows that it accepts command line arguments that are quite extensive
(includes logging, log level, etc.). The pcp command line tool does not do

I've been a RPi/piCorePlayer user for years. The RPi connects directly to
my ZyXel NAS for music files and the HiFiBerry DAC optical out to my stereo
receiver (they sit side by side next to my living room stereo & also next
