Hi Juliet. I created an Album in Photos on my iMac called iPhone Stephen. And another for my wife’s iPhone with a similar name format. You could do the same for your iPad. Then drag the photos you want on your iPad into the Album you have created. Next time you plug your iPad into your Mac

Hi Ronni, I recognised that during the process of trying to verify the iPad had somehow become not connected to the Wifi network. I simply reconnected to the Wifi which allowed the iPad to positively allow the Find my iPad to switch off. So this allowed me to do a proper reset and then restore
