GNA hasn't been able to fix the issues with the svn server. It doesn't really matter the time of day, when I try to upload/download from them, I get a server unexpectedly closed network connection error. The issue has been reported to GNA, but the fix isn't there yet.

Follow-up Comment #5, patch #1104 (project warzone): I didn't test vtols, but I tested a bunch of other turrets, and it seems to work fine in skirmish games. btw, I rarely check gna for patches, I like trac much better, since you can see a quick diff of the code with no real effort.
