I did not click anywhere else on the screen, other than to move my transmit
frequency by shift clicking on the waterfall a couple hundred Hz lower than I

I run with Hold TX Freq checked at all times, and I have never used Call 1st.

It’s 77 bits or bust, basically - mostly bust at present until word gets out
about the sexy new version of FT8.

I also have an early FT-847 with SN beginning with 8G. I was one of the
earliest adopters of that rig. I wish there was a way to upgrade the firmware.
I have not tried it with WSJT-X but will do so and report back to the group.
