What is the advantage of using a band switching cable between the
transceiver and the KPA500 over just relying on the RF sensing function?
I want to drive my KPA500 from an FTDX 101D, is a cable the better way to
go?

Recently I am seeing an intermittent problem with my KPA500.
Occasionally it will not switch from STBY to Operate, however if I switch
it OFF via the front panel and back on again the problem clears and it will
switch to Operate.

If the latest touch screens are anything like my "Smartphone" you can keep
them!
Either they do not respond instantly or the processor is " Busy" doing
something else. This to me extremely irritating and frustrating.
How do the plethora of 7300 users find their screens work
a couple of calls.
Given that some ops will be listening with a very narrow filter at least
some of the time, you may not be in their filter passband and so not heard
if calling off frequency.
