If a pump is rated at 1,000 GPM at 75 PSI, the 3rd point on the pump curve

the code review?
If the owner uses 200 pounds of propellant per day for a five day week, and if
the code review limits are met, the owner is going to need two shipments per
week. I'm sure the owner will feel this is burdensome. Guess what!

So I have laid this thing out to EH Grp II(.4 / 2500)
Does anybody out there have any past experience with something along these
lines that can tell me if I'm off base or not?

That is wrong on SOOO many levels. It looks to me like there was blown in
insulation at one time over the pipe, which is still wrong because it's over
an exterior soffit and can't collect heat from the space below. How many
sprinklers does that pipe feed?

, I don't think you
should be using the Miscellaneous Storage design criteria from Chapter 13.
Shouldn't you be looking at Chapter 15?

The existing overhead system will provide .6/2,500 with a 40% safety margin.

Is there a fire test out there that indicates these bin boxes represent an
increased hazard?

I still believe sprinklers would have prevented the tragedy, but I now doubt
VERY much that the system would have been kept in proper working order.
Again…WOW!

Corrections is a tough market because the “tenants” have nothing to do all day

My 2 cents worth.

I wasn't the designer or consultant on the project, but I know the free

whether or not the fitters put the tees where he indicated..?

I sure hope not because I know of a couple of contractors that were shipping
lengths of pipe to new school job sites and having their fitters cut the
mechanical tees for the drops on site with pilot clamps.

Thank heavens they later allowed us to encase the fitters in bubble wrap while
they operated the machines.
