Re: [Audyssey] bop it - Re: Bop It with shout mode.

2010-06-04 Thread Damien Pendleton

Hi,
I used to have Bop it Download, but I could never beat it, since levels 6
and above seemed to like working with lights. Nevertheless, I'm thinking of
making an accessible version of the download, with a theme creation utility
and a few more new features. What do you all think?

Regards,
Damien.

I have one like that, but it's got a volume setting and a headphone
jack, according to a friend of mine this is the extreme 2, but I'm not
absolutely sure.

I also have the boppit blast, which just has pull it, flick it and bop it,
but has a choice of male and female voices, goes up to a score of 500 as
apposed to 250 on the other game, and also has a light bop mode,
though obviously this isn't fully accessible.

I haven't played any of the later games like bopit download or the shout
it game, though i probably ought to look into it at some point.

The one I have, as I say, is the original game. You must either spin it,
flick it, pull it, twist it, or bot it. There is no volume setting and
it is too loud to use during a flight or something, that's for sure. At
the time I bought it, it cost $29.95 at a local game store.

I have a bopit game at home, not sure which one I have, it's got the 4
bopit, twist, pull and spin, as well as all the settings for playing by
yourself or in a group. It also has another game mode called Beatbop I
think where it plays sounds rather than speaks directions so you've to
match the sound. It really makes sighted people focus I think, it's
great for traveling on long-hall flights.

Hi Folks,
I just got the new, Bop It with shout mode.
It is like a modern-day, handheld Simon Says. After pulling the blue
knob to activate the game, just follow the voiced directions and get
ready to bop it, twist it, pull it, or shout it!
But make sure you do it before the buzzer sounds! Designed for ages
eight and up, the game will have you showing off your bopping talent by
being the first to stay alive.

Requires:
3 AAA batteries (included)
Phillips screwdriver to replace batteries
No assembly required

Interactive, and Easy to Carry
Bop It is the same size of a small, hand-held car vacuum, and is very
light, weighing under a pound--making it easy to travel with. The toy
is made up of four main components--a large button in the middle to
bop, a blue gadget to pull, a yellow gadget to twist, and a green lever
to move sideways for shouting.

Once the game is activated, simply follow the voiced directions before
the buzzer sounds. As the game goes on, you will take less time with
each turn to complete the actions. So be prepared to bop it or pull
it quickly!

Bop It features useful rubber grips around the twisting and pulling
gadgets to prevent it from slipping out of your hands.

Fun, Competitive Play or Solo Mode
Bop It can be played by one person in solo mode or in a group/party
setting. The toy is interactive and mentally stimulating--which keeps
the game interesting and challenging for players of all ages.
Bop It promotes responsive reflexes and good listening skills, along
with lots of twisting, bopping family fun.

It is totally accessible to the blind and costs $15.53 from Amazon.com

Re: [Audyssey] What Are Considered Space Invader Clones?

2010-06-04 Thread dark

Well, it determines how broardly you interpret the word clone

On that basis, we've got no audio space invaders remakes at all, sinse none
of the ones we have have the same ship formations, have more than a few
ships in the playing field at the same time, have shields in front of your
cannon etc.

However, if you determine it simply as games where you have a cannon on the
ground and shoot at descending air born enemies (which is the reason I've
used for the space invaders games audiogames.net genre classification), then
we seem to have a good few actually.

The eason I created the genre classification in the first place is it struck
me A, we have so damnably many of these, and B, they needed splitting from
the actual arcade games genre catagory or half the database would be
classified as arcade games which would be confusing.

I do however think it's a valid classification myself if you interpret
space invaders games as a reasonable genre catagorization.

Those are not space invader clones. They are a bit like space invaders,
but not clones--not really. A true clone would have columns of ships,
falling bombs, shields, etc.
Soon, there will be a TRUE space invaders clone though--one that takes the
game to a whole new level. It's called Space Attack, and once I get all
the bugs out I'll release it. It works on PC and Pac Mates. Not only does
it have the columns of ships, the shields, the bombs and the ufos, it also
has brand new features, like a store in which you can upgrade damaged
shields, guns, and more. You can even gamble.

All if I can just get these last two bugs fixed anyway.

I love these games! the environments, music, and gameplay are fantastic, in

Also amusingly enough, they feature the original Donkey Kong, now known as
Cranky Kong, who turns up, gives hints, and goes on about how the young kids

he was young he was lucky to get a single shade of grey! ;D.

Btw, how I know all this is a combination of said mario character faq, and
in fact playing the dk country games myself.

I'd love to see some audio platform adventure games with the sort of variety

Then there was the original Mario Brothers game (no, not Super, just Mario
Brothers), wich was originally an Arcade game and then got ported to the NES
as well as other platforms. But that game was much more similar in stle to
Donkey Kong since it involved a lot of jumping and avoiding enemies and
things like that. Then after every two or three levels or so you got a timed
bonus level where you grabbed as many coins as possible. I played the Arcade
version once or twice and used to frequently borrow the NES version from a
friend. Then when I got my Game Boy Advance it came with Super Mario
Advance, which I eventually traded in. But that contained the original
Arcade Mario Brothers with a lot of the same sound effects as the original
NES version but with some weird, that just being extremely out of place,
background music.

[Audyssey] Gamebase access podcast

2010-06-04 Thread dark
Hi.

As some people might know, I recently was asked by Barry elis from Oneswitch.co
uk (sort of the audiogames.net for physically impared gamers), to demonstrate
three audio games for his Electronic soop series of podcasts hosted by the
gamebase access collective, see
http://www.gamebase.info/members/profile/14/blog-view/blog_248.html for details.

After two parts on audio game access to console games and difficulties for
blind gamers, He asked me to choose and briefly demonstrate three audio games
which showed off what more complex things could be done in audio.

After quite a lot of thought, I chose entombed, Mysteries of the ancients (beta
12), and Time of conflict.

Actually deciding on three was quite a challenge, and I also considdered Sarah,
Rail racer, sound rts, judgement day and even Q9, but decided on those three
sinse A, they are most recent, B, they most immediately show off complexity,
good audio and interesting gameplay in a very short demo, and C, I could play
them on my speakers (though you will be amused to here me getting the snot
kicked out of me on Mota due to the fact I'm used to estimating monster
distances through headphones).

If you have I tunes or other podcatching software, go to the above link and
check the recent entires to the series, or alternatively if you just want the
download, I've stuck it on sendspace.

Enjoy!

Re: [Audyssey] Thoughts About Healing Potions

2010-06-04 Thread dark
I probably ought to get mario brothers advanced and play it on my gba player
actually.

in terms of the original mario game, it was also included as an extra on the
remake of Super mario brothers 3 in super mario all stars along with various
other minigames, and in fact I was also playing the nes original at my
friends' a bit ago who had it on wii ware.

An amusing fact I do remember eading once, is that apparently Ice climbers
was released two weeks after that game, which was (according to the author
of the ice climbers faq I read), the reason why the ice climbers never got a
come back until smash brothers melee.

I must confess, it's quite a shame, sinse I have the nes classics gba
version of ice climbers, and it's actually a really fun game, pluss,
it'd make a cool audio remake, especially given that most threats to the
character are horizontal to you and the only vertical scrolling is upwards.

three sinse A, they are most recent, B, they most immediately show off
complexity, good audio and interesting gameplay in a very short demo, and C,
I could play them on my speakers (though you will be amused to here me
getting the snot kicked out of me on Mota due to the fact I'm used to
 estimating monster distances through headphones).

Re: [Audyssey] Thoughts About Healing Potions

2010-06-04 Thread Bryan Peterson
Ah yes, Ice Climber. I believe they were a creation of Rare. I didn't know
the game was released two weeks afrter Mario Brothers, but that would
certainly explain why they never got their turn, so to speak. Interesting
note is that if you pay close attention their jump sound is more or less
exactly the same sound as Mario in big form in the original Super Mario
Brothers. The music is very similar at least in sound to what little music
you hear in Excitebike. Hmmm, another possibly interesting audio remake,
though the track editor might be problematic.

I probably ought to get mario brothers advanced and play it on my gba
player actually.

in terms of the original mario game, it was also included as an extra on
the remake of Super mario brothers 3 in super mario all stars along with
various other minigames, and in fact I was also playing the nes
original at my friends' a bit ago who had it on wii ware.

An amusing fact I do remember eading once, is that apparently Ice climbers
was released two weeks after that game, which was (according to the author
of the ice climbers faq I read), the reason why the ice climbers never got
a come back until smash brothers melee.

I must confess, it's quite a shame, sinse I have the nes classics gba
version of ice climbers, and it's actually a really fun game, pluss,
it'd make a cool audio remake, especially given that most threats to the
character are horizontal to you and the only vertical scrolling is
upwards.

Then there was the original Mario Brothers game (no, not Super, just
Mario Brothers), wich was originally an Arcade game and then got ported
to the NES as well as other platforms. But that game was much more
similar in stle to Donkey Kong since it involved a lot of jumping and
avoiding enemies and things like that. Then after every two or three
levels or so you got a timed bonus level where you grabbed as many coins
as possible. I played the Arcade version once or twice and used to
frequently borrow the NES version from a friend. Then when I got my Game
Boy Advance it came with Super Mario Advance, which I eventually traded
in. But that contained the original Arcade Mario Brothers with a lot of
the same sound effects as the original NES version but with some weird,
that just being extremely out of place, background music.

Actually Tom, a miner correction. Marrio's first game was indeed the
original Donkey Kong, = apparently he began as a carpenter working
on construction sites and was renamed from his japanese name of Jumpman
to appeal to Americans as a nice italian sterriotype! of course, with
nes graphics the way you make someone Italian is to make them fat,
ie, round, thus causing the double pun sinse maru is Japanese for
ball shaped, and give them a mustache, ;D.

Also, apparently his original gf in the donkey kong games who he rescued
was called pauline.

then, in the 2nd donkey Kong game, you actually played donkey kong
jrrescuing a caged dk from the evil mario (yes! he was the villain in
that game).

In the third, for some crazy reason, apparently mario got lost entirely
and the main character became Stanley the bug man, who had to stop
donkey kong descending onto potted plants in a greenhouse by, ,
spreying insecticide up his behind!

The only one of these I've actually played is Dk Junior (the one with
evil mario), sinse once my sister was in hammersmith Hospital having
some tests done and they had a nes with super mario bros and that game.

I am however very! familiar withe the Donkey Kong country games on the
snes Released in 1994 onwards, in fact I remember using the games
as revision breaks for my gcse's when I was 14 ;D.

A company called rare got the rights to donkey Kong, and actually
completely revamped the series. You now played as Donkey and his litle
friend diddy kong, running through their own platform game on Kongo
island trying to stop a bunch of evil crocodiles called Kremlings who'd
pinched their banana hoard!

I love these games! the environments, music, and gameplay are fantastic,
in fact some of tarzan jr rather reminded me of dk country sinse they
involve a lot of swinging across vines.

Also amusingly enough, they feature the original Donkey

[Audyssey] the vi-fit project

2010-06-04 Thread Josh

Hi

thought I'd pass this on.lits interesting, and game related.

3. VI Fit Project Brings Accessible Bowling, Tennis Games Similar to
Nintendo WII
The Nintendo Wii has allowed for the creation of a new breed of video
games which require players to use physical motion to compete. But as
anyone who has tried Wii Sports knows, sighted assistance is generally
required to play these games with much accuracy. The Vi Fit project
seeks to change this. Using the Wii Remote and a computer with Bluetooth
support, blind participants can play two free games Vi Bowling and Vi
Tennis, accessible versions based on their Wii Sports counterparts.
According to the VI Fit website, Lack of physical activity is a serious
health concern for individuals who are visually impaired as they have
fewer opportunities and incentives to engage in physical activities that
provide the amounts and kinds of stimulation sufficient to maintain
adequate fitness and to support a healthy standard of living. The
project, the brainchild of students at the University of Nevada at Reno,
plans on producing more games in the coming months. The titles are free
and can be downloaded now.

so if we can use wii controllers with our computers that sounds very
cool! maybe using nintendo wi controllers can be added to the bgt toolkit.

Hi.

As some people might know, I recently was asked by Barry elis from
Oneswitch.co uk (sort of the audiogames.net for physically impared
gamers), to demonstrate three audio games for his Electronic soop series
of podcasts hosted by the gamebase access collective, see
http://www.gamebase.info/members/profile/14/blog-view/blog_248.html for
details.

After two parts on audio game access to console games and difficulties for
blind gamers, He asked me to choose and briefly demonstrate three audio
games which showed off what more complex things could be done in audio.

After quite a lot of thought, I chose entombed, Mysteries of the ancients
(beta 12), and Time of conflict.

Actually deciding on three was quite a challenge, and I also considdered
Sarah, Rail racer, sound rts, judgement day and even Q9, but decided on
those three sinse A, they are most recent, B, they most immediately show
off complexity, good audio and interesting gameplay in a very short demo,
and C, I could play them on my speakers (though you will be amused to here
me getting the snot kicked out of me on Mota due to the fact I'm used to
estimating monster distances through headphones).

If you have I tunes or other podcatching software, go to the above link
and check the recent entires to the series, or alternatively if you just
want the download, I've stuck it on sendspace.

Re: [Audyssey] SOD

2010-06-04 Thread dark

Good grief no! sugar? you philistine!

First, grind beans while kettle boils. Doing this by hand insures that the
protein on the side of the beans isn't denatured (and actually with my
grinder it only takes as long as it takes the kettle to boil). Then, after
the water has boiled leave it, so it's under 97 degrees, that prevents the
beans from getting bitter.

Then stick in cafatier and leave for at least 5 minutes, preferably
7-10 (though unlike with tea it doesn't matter as much).

Then serve! with nothing in it, though a decent tot of brandy, or good
quality rum on the side to sip and use the coffee as a chaser doesn't go
down too badly of an evening.

Oh, and make certain it is served in a mug made from alabasta mined on the
banks of the nile and calved 2000 years ago with the chalm of
Cafenepsut, the ancient Egyptian goddess of fine coffee! this prevents
the demonic forces of Starbux and his pestilencial queen Costa the
overpriced from casting a spell of utter badness upon your coffee!

Oh, and it's better to drink it in a closed room sinse if anyone interupts
you while drinking coffee you'll need to sacrifice them with an especially
sharpened saucer of death, and by the time you've finished hacking away
at their kneck the coffee is usually cold! Lol!

The bit about the temperature and the rum is true though, the
rest, well you can work it out for yourself.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

I love these games! the environments, music, and gameplay are

Then serve! with nothing in it, though a decent tot of brandy, or
good quality rum on the side to sip and use the coffee as a chaser doesn't
go down too badly of an evening.

Oh, and make certain it is served in a mug made from alabasta mined on the
banks of the nile and calved 2000 years ago with the chalm of
Cafenepsut, the ancient Egyptian goddess of fine coffee! this
prevents the demonic forces of Starbux and his pestilencial queen Costa
the overpriced from casting a spell of utter badness upon your coffee!

Oh, and it's better to drink it in a closed room sinse if anyone interupts
you while drinking coffee you'll need to sacrifice them with an especially
sharpened saucer of death, and by the time you've finished hacking
away at their kneck the coffee is usually cold! Lol!

The bit about the temperature and the rum is true though, the
rest, well you can work it out for yourself.

Beware the grue!

Re: [Audyssey] What Are Considered Space Invader Clones?

2010-06-04 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Dark,
Agreed. If I had managed to release Montezuma's Revenge it would have
been an arcade game too, but it would not be a Space Invaders type
game. Therefore I think there needs to be an identification here
between side-scroller and Space Invader clones of arcade games. In
fact, if you have ever noticed on my web site I have both a genre and
style catagory so I can specifically describe the type of game I'm
producing.
For example, on my web site Final Conflict is placed under the
strategy genre and turn-based style of game play. If I had Sound RTS
put up there it also would be listed as strategy, but the style would
be declared as real time based rather than turn based. So the style
and genre descriptions are equally important here.

On 6/4/10, dark d...@xgam.org wrote:

 Beware the grue!

Hi,

I know we have the audio tutorials on the GMA games site for time of

How will these differ?

[Audyssey] Classic Games was Healing Potions

2010-06-04 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Dark,
Yeah, I didn't get to play DK 64 much either. I only remember really
playing it once, and then it was more or less a trial run at that.
However, as you say it was sort of a best of Donkey Kong all in one
game.
As for the Amizons I take your point, but still I felt that calling
them Amazons just didn't fit with the Golden Ax story too much even
though they probibly meant Amazon in the generic sense. As you pointed
out Tyris seams more like a Valkyrie seeing as she had a sword as well
as fire magic.
In my encarnation of the game currently my female warrior character,
Adreana, uses a staff and I'm still working on her special magic
attack.I'd hate to use fire as that is too close to the original. I am
thinking of some kind of elemental magic like wind or perhaps ice
blast.
I'm working on a munk type character, Gabriel, who caries ashort
sword and has the fire magic as his special attack. Still working on
him as well.

On 6/4/10, dark d...@xgam.org wrote:

however I also know it starts the dk country crew, batling against the

almost everyone from the previous ones.

As regards golden axe, well the amazons in the game weren't particularly
greek at all, just women with armour and axes that clobbered you (you can
find a description in the faq i mentioned).

I think they just called them Amazon as to mean female warrior and give a
bit of back story to Tyris flair, rather than having any set myth in mind.

In fact Tyris is probably more like a valkyri, sinse she uses a longsword.

Good grief no! sugar? you philistine!

First, grind beans while kettle boils. Doing this by hand insures that
the protein on the side of the beans isn't denatured (and actually with
my grinder it only takes as long as it takes the kettle to boil). Then,
after the water has boiled leave it, so it's under 97 degrees, that
prevents the beans from getting bitter.

Then stick in cafatier and leave for at least 5 minutes, preferably
7-10 (though unlike with tea it doesn't matter as much).

Then serve! with nothing in it, though a decent tot of brandy, or
good quality rum on the side to sip and use the coffee as a chaser
doesn't go down too badly of an evening.

Oh, and make certain it is served in a mug made from alabasta mined on
the banks of the nile and calved 2000 years ago with the chalm of
Cafenepsut, the ancient Egyptian goddess of fine coffee! this
prevents the demonic forces of Starbux and his pestilencial queen Costa
the overpriced from casting a spell of utter badness upon your coffee!

Oh, and it's better to drink it in a closed room sinse if anyone
interupts you while drinking coffee you'll need to sacrifice them with an
especially sharpened saucer of death, and by the time you've
finished hacking away at their kneck the coffee is usually cold! Lol!

The bit about the temperature and the rum is true though, the
rest, well you can work it out for yourself.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

Re: [Audyssey] What Are Considered Space Invader Clones?

2010-06-04 Thread dark
That is true Tom, however in organizing the audiogames.net database I tend
to work on a basis of what is the main focus of game X and what is the
most helpful genre classification

We have a great many arcade games, and it didn't strike me as too helpful to
put montizumas revenge in the arcade catag ory, simply because it features
a great deal more exploration and complexity than a basic point scoring game
such as Crazy darts or boppit ultimate, or even pipe and the pinball games.

thus, I classified it as action, putting it in the same catagory with Gma
tank commander and Shades of doom, which seemed appropriate.

Similarly, the Inspector Cindy games from 7-128 software, though classified
as mystery games, I felt were similar enough in their gameplay to gamebooks
that they fell properly under the audspis of that genre, sinse I really
didn't want to create a genre catagory of mystery games just for one
developers work sinse that doesn't seem helpful in actually letting people
know what games are similar to which.

Interestingly enough, this actually happens a lot with mainstream series.
mega man 1 for instance on the Nes actually features a scoring system, and
thus could be played as an arcade game, ie, to achieve the highest score,
however this was very much taken out in the games' sequals.

The same could be said for the Turrican series as well.

Btw, descriptions of the various genre catagories and what reasons are used
to classify games can be read at
http://audiogames.net/page.php?pagefile=Genres

Hi Dark,

On 6/4/10, dark d...@xgam.org wrote:

of the ones we have have the same ship formations, have more than a few

your

cannon etc.

However, if you determine it simply as games where you have a cannon on
the
ground and shoot at descending air born enemies (which is the reason
I've
used for the space invaders games audiogames.net genre classification),
then

we seem to have a good few actually.

The eason I created the genre classification in the first place is it
struck
me A, we have so damnably many of these, and B, they needed splitting
from

the actual arcade games genre catagory or half the database would be
classified as arcade games which would be confusing.

I do however think it's a valid classification myself if you interpret
space invaders games as a reasonable genre catagorization.

Well that probably has to be seen. myabe they'll include factors like
cooperative attacking and bombing, or maybe they just mean they'll have to
update the tutorials when the multiplayer version of toc is released.

Re: [Audyssey] Classic Games was Healing Potions

2010-06-04 Thread dark
Sounds interesting. For the ladies magic, Hmmm, how about earth? --- this
might also allow you to actually improve on golden axe by having different
magic affects rather than just different degrees of damage.

For instance, earth magic could give you a rock shield which provides
temporary invulnerability allowing you to smack enemies, while fire
magic could give you a flaming weapon which does more damage. Wind magic
might be used for healing or speed, and thunder for a stun effect to stop
enemies moving.

All these would be stil within the scope of an action game, but provide
a litle more stratogy depending upon which character you were using.

Hi Dark,
Yeah, I didn't get to play DK 64 much either.

Well tom, Dk 64 was unfortunately 3D again and thus unplayable for me,
however I also know it starts the dk country crew, batling against the
Kremlings, in fact it's almost a best of game sinse you get to play
as

almost everyone from the previous ones.

As regards golden axe, well the amazons in the game weren't particularly
greek at all, just women with armour and axes that clobbered you (you can
find a description in the faq i mentioned).

I think they just called them Amazon as to mean female warrior and give a
bit of back story to Tyris flair, rather than having any set myth in
mind.

In fact Tyris is probably more like a valkyri, sinse she uses a
longsword.

Re: [Audyssey] SOD

2010-06-04 Thread dark

Ouch! beware the loo!

That would be scary.

A grue is a creature from the old zork text adventure games. Whenever you
headed into a dark area without a light you got the message it's pitch
dark, you are likely to be eaten by a grue!

and indeed if you tried to proceed in the dark you got Oh no! you have
walked into the slavering fangs of a lirking grue!

The reason i use it as a sig, is due to a song I have composed.

It features lyrics such as:

Beware the grue! whatever yee may do, he'll bight your thighs, suck out
your eyes, and on your bones he'll chew, he'll use your skin to keep things
in and use your blood as glue, he'll eat you most completely, so look
out for the grue!

Hopefully one day I can get my mixer sorted out well enought to actually
record it.

Beware the Grue!

true josh.
however I am not going out just to buy a wiemote for one or 2 games
that use it.
I do have bluetooth but honestly havn't bothered using it even with
devices that run it.
its tied in with my wireless card and to have wireless on when not
needing it on the wlan is a bit risky just for the bluetooth which I don't use.
I have a force ffb stick here that I got back in the day when we were
supposed to be using it.

I didn't and its languishing in a dusty corner.
not that I could have anything else here anyway.
with the 2 storage drives, my laptop, mic, cds and a load of other
things here using space on the desk there is just no room for any
extra things like gaming devices.
I have a fouse which works for railracer here which was only 30 odd
bucks however thats all.
So other than the keyboard and mouse I don't really think I can fit
anymore on this here desk.

at any rate I am trying to get my life away from the gaming community.
ie get a job or something.
As you may imagine although I will still stay here and play games I
really don't want to buy more than is necessary to play games, its
not a fulltime thing.

At 01:02 a.m. 5/06/2010, you wrote:

But as anyone who has tried Wii Sports knows, sighted assistance is
generally required to play these games with much accuracy. The Vi

Lack of physical activity is a serious health concern for

opportunities and incentives to engage in physical activities that
provide the amounts and kinds of stimulation sufficient to maintain
adequate fitness and to support a healthy standard of living. The
project, the brainchild of students at the University of Nevada at

so if we can use wii controllers with our computers that sounds very

it means not fiddling with secured forms, and takes the fact the

on the subject of ordering a weird thing happened a couple years back
when I got futureboy.

I ordered it but got a message it didn't go through.
a check with general cofee got it that something had happened on the
card but nothing had got through at all.
I had to go to cafepress.com, set up and create an account, then
login to cafepress.com with that account go back to order futureboy
then order it.

it was a strange way of ding things but it worked then.
though I feel sorry for the standard user.

Re: [Audyssey] SOD

2010-06-04 Thread Bryan Peterson
For some reason when you said that it reminded me of what is quite possibly
my absolute favorite Simpsons episode of all time, The City of New York VS.
Homer Simpson. I had a vision of the SOD guy fidgetting and staggering
around the base after drinking all that coffee, much the way Homer did after
drinking at least twelve cans of crab juice. Then he finally gets to the
bathroom and you hear a long, drawn-out moan of relief. In the Simpsons
episode, that was the moment when Homer happened to look out the window and
see the parking fficer ticketing his car yet again rather than taking off
the wheel clamp. I suppose in SOD that would be when an insane scientist
would get his hands on the guy's pack or maybe the boss would get away.

Re: [Audyssey] Smugglers3 and jaws?

2010-06-04 Thread David Mehler
Hi,
What's the differences between smugglers3 and 4? Which is more
accessible? And with jaws is there anything special that needs doing?
Thanks.
Dave.

 Hello,
I just listened to Dark's review of smugglers3. Unfortunately, he uses

 Thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] the vi-fit project

2010-06-04 Thread Bryan Peterson
I think it depends on each individual would-be player and how good their
memorizational skills are. I personally don't know if I could do it but then
I've never tried. My folks do have a Wii but I've never tried to fool around
with it on my own. I don't know if I dare to be quite frank. It'd be
different if it was my own system but seeing as it's not...Well if all works
out as i hope it will between my new girlfriend and I we might just have one
of our own. She likes gaming as much as me.

Hmm.. I don't think it's exactly right. You don't necessarily need to have
sighted assistance to play these.

[Audyssey] getting back to the store on entombed

2010-06-04 Thread David Mehler
Hello,
I've explored two floors on entombed and am enjoying the game
immensely! I've got a question though. Although i still haven't
figured out everything, sapi5 doesn't announce things all that well
but i did find a store, I made a purchase now that i've cleared the
floor i'd like to go back there and buy and sell items that i have
collected. I've saved the game, how do i find the store again?
Thanks.
Dave.
