Ian, don't confuse display with content.
The content of the field has not changed, just the way the program
displays the numbers. This is no different that choosing to display
surnames in all caps even though they are entered in mixed case.

Gender colours have never applied to the centre and parent names. Only
the children's names are coloured by gender in Family view. To check
this I went back to a copy of Legacy 7 I have on my computer and the
centre and parent names are in black.

Select the source you want to use then click the copy to clipboard
button. The one in the bottom left that looks like two sheets of paper.
Move the where you want to place the source and click the apply
clipboard source.
