It seems that ams text.sty style file is missing in your Miktex

You should install the amsmath package of Miktex.

Lyx needs to convert the graphic to a bitmap format to show it on the
screen. It seems that your installation is missing InageMagick or
Ghostscript
from OS X Mavericks.

mber well, TrueTex uses TrueType fonts
mainly. Even when I was using SWP, I have configured it to be used with
MikTex, instead of TrueTex, so I was sure that any journal with a decent

Mark,
If you have several files to import, maybe the command line tex2lyx utility can be more
convenient.
It lives somewhere inside the Lyx installation folder (on OSX:

But the installation of Tex2Word could require Windows m: it comes with a setup
exe if I remember well, and probably needs to run some code to activate through
Internet, I have not tested this under Wine. I have been able to install it
under Parallel's VM.

manually is not very quick, neither very interesting ;-)
I hope that this can be useful to someone.

subfigure package, you should get back some automatic cross-referencing.

There is maybe another possibility: Lyx supports the subfigure package. It
could provide a more elegant solution, but I have never used it.

By the way : it would be better to be able to set the Texinputs variable in
the document properties, since it is in general document dependent, if one
groups all files together for each document.

Thanks Liviu,
I have now consulted the bug you signal. It seems to be the same problem
indeed.
It would be very nice if we could develop insets also usable in the math
mode.

Lyx is quite regrettable, since I use Lyx for my new documents and would
like to completely get rid of SW (and of the virtual machine Windows 7 that
I keep on my Mac solely for it).
