In advance of selling my 240D to a coworker I went through all the receipts I
have and added them up. In the last 48,000 miles and 1 month short of 3 years
it cost me right around $6,500 not including fuel but that does include the
purchase price.

So, the current wet dream involves one of MB's smaller,
efficient diesels coupled through a slushbox to the 1200
RPM generator. The usual generator is optimized for
heavy loads and runs at a constant RPM, and is usually

Thought I'd do something simple, bzzt! wrong! I raised the mast by
turning the radio on - loosened the securing nut and tried to pull the mast
out. It came up another section (which wasn't being raised automatically)

put on hold by kalebministrator's system because the picture size was too

Sounds like what happened to me-I was trying to put a Rusty Hirschman
mast into a made in china replacement motor. I had to take the motor
case apart and then finally went manual.
