1983 Mercedes Diesel It is a MECHANICS SPECIAL and does not run!!! here is the 'story.' We bought it for resell, drove it a week, parked it and it never started back up. Been told it is injector heaters etc. Im no mechanic and we cant find someone to fix it

I think that's a suboptimal filter location. Putting the filter in the high pressure line allows any crap that's in the evaporator to go straight to the compressor. If the purpose is to protect the compressor, put the filter as close to the compressor inlet as possible. There are both
