Check within alsamixer that you have the correct input selected and the
levels on that input are set, and that it is not set to mute.
Also check your jack setup. Sometimes it helps to start up one of the
Jack level indicators (something like meterbridge works well) and route
your audio input

best bet is to follow the directions on the wiki for setting up a
networked rivendell installation. When you do this you'll be using a
library common to any of the Rivendell boxes on the system, so if you
add a new audio file, macro, or anything like that it'll show up on the
other syste

I generally avoid running pulseaudio, even on Linux machines which are
just meant to be desktop machines, it is still one of the first things
that I disable. My experiences have found that for what I often do with
computers Pulseaudio seems to introduce more problems then it solves.

the USB ports, have a look at the motherboard and see if there are any
capacitors which appear to be going bad. If there are then grab your

to set the number of channels. Since the options are 1 or 2, I suspect
this is stereo / mono. However it looks like this would be a
library-wide setting. I've never changed it, so it may still be storing

Check to see if it created the /var/run/rivendell folder.
On Ubuntu-based installs, the folders in /var/run are virtual and need
to be recreated every time the machine reboots.
Most stuff installed on Ubuntu will do this as a part of its startup

way to record the air feed and instead wget with a stream gets used, it
might be considered non-compliance if the question ever came up
