I can't find any way to specify which translation memory files Virtaal will use.
In OmegaT you just only drop them in a folder within the project
folder and it works without setting nothing. In Lokalize you can

With Pootle 2.7.0 stabilizing we're going to be releasing Pootle 2.7.1
in the next few days.
We released 2.7.0 without any announcement of translations as our
strings were in flux. Our strings are now stable and we expect little
change ahead.
