Yes, this is supposed to be done by "syslog" postscript.
Do you know if it executed successfully during the node provisioning ?
That postscript supposed to copy /etc/rsyslog.conf
to /etc/rsyslog.conf.XCATORIG and then uncomment those 2 lines
in /etc/rsyslog.conf

and /var/log/xcat/commands.log ?
What version of xCAT ?
Have you tried running "xcatprobe xcatmn" ? Perhaps some configuration is
off.

You can try to manually on MN wget a file from that directory and see if
any errors are reported.

You can try running "dumpxCATdb" with the "-V" verbose flag.
You can also try to see if DB is accessible from cron, by doing "tabdump
site" from the cron.

In xCAT 2.15.1 a new script was
shipped /opt/xcat/share/xcat/scripts/BMC_change_password.sh.
This script was intended to be ran for Power systems before "bmcdiscover".
You might be able to run that for Lenovo by changing the default userid and
password inside that script.
