blocks the road. Walk a couple hundred metres past the gate until you see some
seed spread on the ground at a left bend in the road. This is where the Spotted
Towhee comes out to feed.

This morning Pat Schiller and I crossed paths with Tom Morrison, a local
photographer, who had seen and photographed a Townsend's Solitaire earlier
today in the bushes in front of the entrance to the Visitor Centre in Point
Pelee National Park near Leamington (about 10 min drive to
The Great Kiskadee just made another very generous appearance, flying up and
over the Marsh Trail where it perched atop a willow tree for about a minute
before returning to the spot where it apparently roosted last night. This is
within minutes of when it disappeared last night.
The location
Early this morning Brad Ouellette found a Purple Gallinule at John R. Park
Homestead Conservation Area, and after some time searching we have just refound
it!! It is currently resting out of sight around a bend in stream that flows in
toward County Rd 50 at the east edge of this conservation
who missed it is still nearby and sees this email!

We just had a Mississippi Kite fly over us near the tram stop at the tip, and
it's currently headed North and probably already passing the VC by now. PPNP is
at the end of Point Pelee Dr., southeast of Leamington in Essex county.

The Black-necked Stilt is currently in the puddles by the dead end of Mersea Rd
1, one road over from where Kory posted. I did not refind it but many birders
have seen it here. Good birding!

There are currently two Trumpeter Swans (locally quite rare) in the Shorebird
Cell at Hillman Marsh, 6km east of Leamington, on Mersea Rd 2. Essex County.
