Does the platter sit on rollers when in the microwave? Maybe there is

Also note that the ring of rollers under the carousel plate wear out. I

When I do this, I use oats and my own flavors (cinnamon, brown sugar,

just cover everything. I do this in a deep bowl, then heat the whole
thing until the oats are soft. I never have it spill, unless I forget

I don't remember what the directions were, but I usually divide the time
into thirds and stir. If the oatmeal is quite warm after the second
stir, cut down the time for the last cooking. Also, it is helpful to
use a taller bowl.

This sounds like a great dish to serve for lunch or light supper. What's a

Any ideas?

I remember when I was living in my old apartment back in 1981 when I started
living on my own that I made oat meal in a coffee cup. I learned the hard way
that you don't put water and oat meal in the same cup and boil in the
microwave. The oat meal expands, and it goes in your microwave oven.
I'd think Couscous with redcurrants in it would be great. (Don't have a
recipe, but I bet there are some on the web) Tabouleh or hummus also might
be nice with it, as would Baba Ganouj. Dolmas might also be nice -- any
Mediterranean or Greek dish might go well with it.

When I cook oatmeal in the microwave, I do it for 30 seconds, then stir,
then another 30 seconds then stir and then another final 30 seconds then

As an accompaniment to this salad, 2 distinct side dishes come to mind:
First, a cole slaw would go nicely with this salad.
Secondly, how about a fruit salad featuring mandarin oranges and seedless
