Haemobartonella fellis is transmitted by fleas, not FeLv. You can Google Haemobartonella and find out about it. That's why it's recommended that you treat all current cats for fleas with Frontline Plus or other flea product if you intend to bring a new cat/kitten into the house.

Treat all cats w/ Advantage for 3 months in a row. GIve them all a Capstar for immediate effect. Wash ALL bedding, if you have carpeting, vacumm very well or clean it. Mop all floors w/ a good cleaner. No need to set off bombs or anyting, if you treat all the cats for 3 months, the fleas will
