Hi Shaun,
A few comments if I may.
First, if you don't have the right equipment your sound
card/headphones aren't going to render the sound correctly. After all,
you are trying to render a full virtual 3d audio environment with 2d
only equipment. That isn't exactly going to work.

today as an experiment I tried playing v3d.
in the first 2 levels it was ok because there is nothing much to do
these are straight levels.
However everything was slightly off centre, it was not much but
enough to confuse and annoy me when picking up objects and opening doors.
Where v3d came
The only reason I haven't been able to finish the first level, other than
one time, is because I haven't played it often enough, although I cannot put
my finger on exactly why I haven't. It is a good game, both challenging and
fun.

of bean you use, how it is ground, weather you use a special blend,
how strong you make it, etc.
Unfortunately, the people who hate coffee, or claim to,
I like the idea of strong coffee, but not putting all that stuff in it
(especially sugar).
i'm rather a coffee snob, which means I grind my own coffee, --- by hand (it
prevents the beans overheating), and drink it black as pitch.

Each level you complete has one message somewhere on it which will give
you the proper sequence to end the game. The sequence is totally
different every game so unless you find and collect all 8 messages you
can't complete the game.

You can kill the disturbance in version 1.2 of Shades of Doom, but it
takes a great deal of ammo. In all honesty, it's better to just trap it.
