case I would probably just delete the imported file with an
assessment that the researcher's quality is unlikely to be satisfactory
if they do not follow such a basic standard as using locations as they
exist at the time of the event so the file will not be worth the review.

Just as a second thought after I sent this message. Check that you have
not already activated the deluxe features by opening the help menu and
clicking on File Properties. If you are using Deluxe already the screen
will tell you so and will have your customer number listed.

You do not need to enable it but you do have to create those
relationships by going to Tools > Set Relationships. Generally people
use themselves as the starting person but you can choose anyone in your
file as the origin of the calculation.
