Sagi Bashari and I came up with a way to upgrade SSH without a need for a
physical access to the computer. I sucessfully managed to upgrade SSH this
way. I'd like to share it here.
What you do is compile and install another SSH version, and run sshd on a
different port (say 29). Then, you login

Hey,
I'd boot from a Slackware installation CD, or any other installation CD
probably, mount the backup CD and the partition with your system, and copy
the files, and then reboot regularly.
That should work.

(I had Win 2k + Win 98 + SuSE 7.1). Partition Magic V6.0 on a 30Gb disk blew up.
All I did was install a minimal system from the distro (took about half an hour)
and then did a restore from the backup. Full

I use kbd-1.06 to load hebrew in the console and
then I can write hebrew.
but after I run dosemu I lose all the hebrew support.

Try using the MS supplied Hebrew tools. I think they are the best way to
go about it. Very shortly, you load a codepage (962, I think), and a

Could it be that you didn't compile RTNETLINK inside the kernel? up until
kernel 2.4.16 you need to compile it specifically.
With 2.4.17 you'll need to compile DEV_NETLINK as yes. From the .config in
the /usr/src/linux:
CONFIG_NETLINK_DEV=y
