I can hear my computer beep indicating that I have new messages but they don't show up anywhere. According to the Mail icon, I have 5 new messages but I can't find them. My missing mailboxes appeared after I closed Mail and then reopened it. Weird and aging. Anne

Nora, Often when you get a message saying that a file is read-only, you can still open it, but you can't save it back with the same name. If that's the case, go ahead and open the file and use Save As ... to save it back with a new name. I doubt that your case is that simple however. It sounds
