Yes it is. Apps like snapseed of more recently iPhoto. If you get the optional camera connection kit it's possible to transfer jpg and raw to the ipad and edit the files. The ipad3 could be a very nice editing device. For me a mobile editing device. Lightroom is what I normally prefer. Toine On
