I found some good advice back when I was just starting out in photography.
The advice was to take risks with the camera in order to capture pictures
one otherwise wouldn't get, just don't take stupid risks. I decided my

I agree.. build it into a replacement back. That's what original
A 36mm x 24mm sensor would be nice, but what about using a smaller sensor
and some glass to compress the 24x36 image onto it? Or how about an array
of smaller CCD sensors and, if needed, some optics to direct the image away

No, using an extension tube won't change the focal length of the lens. It
simply allows one to get a part of the 28mm-perspective image to fill the
frame, but only for subjects significantly closer than normal. Therefore,

If it hasn't already been suggested, you might try using an LED. They
generate a small voltage when light hits them, and I'd bet they have a way
faster response to light than the photocell.

How about a different explanation.. the user interface isn't so well
designed? If it is meant to be used by common people, and the users have to
constantly refer to the manual or re-ask a question, then that is usually a
