CSHello!

2007-03-26 Thread Rebecca Thomas
My name is Becca I'm happy that I found you!! I live in s. central
Alaska have everything I need to make colloidal silver except
knowledge!

I need to know, how many ppm's should I aim for in the finished product?

Also, I'll be using a gallon jar with a bubbler with 5 flattened wire.
I'm thinking that wire bar isn't long enough to do a good job?

Thanks for all help!
Becca
P.S. Mike, thanks for the nice welcome!

2007-03-26 Thread Cinder Ella
Hi Becca, wow Alaska! I live in Toronto, Ontario. Do you also have a good
source of distilled water? Or a good distiller? You will need that.
Personally I don't think you really need to make the cs ppm so high. I
personally make about 12 ppm and it does me just fine. I consume an ounce a
day. My aunt in Germany buys 30ml in a dropper bottle at about 100 or more
ppm and only takes a drop a day. She swears by that. So I guess the stronger
you make it the less you need to take. I like to drink the distilled water as
well because it has the ability to detoxify the body as well so an ounce won't
kill me.

As for the gallon jar, I use a mayonaise jar as I want it fresh and don't
want to make too much at once. I guess you are using the bubbler to keep the
cs moving to make the batch uniform? I'm sorry but I don't know all the techno
stuff. Perhaps someone else on the list will help me out.
  Doris

Once you do understand, then YOU can build one, as many on this list

Ole Bob, Trem, Vince and I started out experimenting back when no one
understood anything, everyone used salt, a shoddily made box of batteries

[complete with detailed instructions on how to screw it up every time]

[Forgive me if I left someone out..add yourself in? ]

The only thing we knew and could find out was, how not to do it and how
to sell that lack of info for a lot of cash by scaring the BeJesus out of
everyone with, if you don't buy it, the Docs and Gov't will kill you,
tripe. [Well, not entirely untrue, but golly, ain't you scared enough?]

The web pages devoted to colloidal silver have grown from around 2,000 to
3,420,000 over that time span.
I found a hint of an allusion to current on page 1,500? ..a very short
one liner from Beck buried in a bushel of sentences. Absolutely nothing
about the existence of current density, much less any applications.
Making colloidal silver, went from around 200 pages devoid of anything
very meaningful and all down right primitive if not a little bit dangerous
to 623,000.

The first 'sold' generator I ever saw would make black emulsified mud in
4 minutes, kill you if you touched the electrodes and catch fire if you
left it plugged in for over 10 minutes. [What a BOMB!..more suited to crowd
control than making CS]

It cost $150 back in the 80s.

 There's still plenty to learn.
Getting to 'here' was a pretty long road and no one was sharing very
much...if anything.
Really, there wasn't anything much TO share and few of us knew about the
others existence till this list appeared.

Thanks to Mike. [Who most likely had no idea of what he was about to do
and might still not realize what he did.]

Uh, did I say thanks to Mike?
Thanks to Mike, the edjumukator supreme, even an idiot can now make good
CS with a home built generator without sifting through a million pages of
ignorance and scare tactics.

Did I say, Thanks to Mike?

 Thanks Mike.

I would never use it unless I needed to hook it up to batteries, but it
was interesting, and fun, and I got a much better grasp of what the
process of making CS is like.

Sol.
Your gen will run off batteries too.
Your particular model probably needs at least 18 volts and something
under 36...the newer ones, as little as 9 volts.
AC or DC input doesn't matter and you can't hook it up wrong. [But with
the really old ones, be careful to plug into the gen before attaching 'big'
batteries or the wires can burn up...won't hurt the gen, fingers, another
story.]
It will make nice CS without the stirrer..it just works better and
batches are more consistent with it.

An impromptu thermal stir current can be made by putting black tape on one
side of the container and running it in the sun.

..works good when using a solar panel.

The Medisana ultrasonic personal humidifier makes a good nebulizer
too. It even has a nebulizer discharge tube.

$31 at amazon.com

Good automatic CS generators start at around $100.
You 'can' pay over $300 and still not get a good one.

You can also pay $24 - $40 for a basic battery unit, pay attention and do
the learning curve, or build one that works the same way for $10 or
$15. Just because the same thing can be bought for $150 doesn't mean it's
different.

Sunstone Herbals has a good deal on a decent basic generator [$40?]
http://www.sunstoneherbals.com/ ahh, now $34.95

You 'can' make good small particle silver with those albeit at a lower
PPM and differences between batches, but really...even bad CS works.

PPM doesn't matter all that much in the real world.

 They're OK..but not a wonderful value.
Your sunstone unit will make the same thing at the COLLGEN2s shutdown point
of 5 PPM...especially if you stick a stirrer under it.

I like my silverpuppy magnetic stir generator, At $135 shipping
included it is the best value going. It is small and easy, has real
current controls and auto shut off. I have been extremely happy with it.
All LVDC CS generators make a primarily ionic CS around 85% ionic and
15% particulate. I am aware of no home generators that can produce
totally particulate CS. My ionic CS works just fine. I've been using it
with success for over 3 years, so I don't see any need for a 100%
particle CS. I'm not sure what you mean by small particle CS, so have
answered as best I can.
By breathing machine do you mean a nebulizer? I use an Omron Comp-Air
Elite, for my chronic upper respiratory pet rabbit. It works for people
too :-) , LOL.
I believe Ode (Ken who makes the silverpuppy), has said there is a little
ultrasonic humidifier can be used much like a nebulizer: It looks like a
little bullet shaped thing, the Walmart here has them for $39. My Omron
Elite hand held nebulizer cost me $65 but you can get them online for
around $55.
Hope this helps, if you want the model number of the ultrasonic

2006-01-10 Thread Tony Moody
Hi Carol,
You are definitely NOT an idiot. That is my point of view and I'm sticking to
it. : ) It is
wonderful to see how fast you are progressing to understanding some of the
process.

I can't remember anyone commenting on the fact that you seem to be using an AC
output. I would make an effort to convert that to DC volts onto the silver
rods. Also I
would make an effort to secure the rods to a fixed distance apart, in order to
control
one of the variables.

Next up you could add a current regulator diode such as a 1N5297 for 1.0mA For
the size of your rods you would probably need a 1.5mA current regulator diode.

That controls the amount of current flowing one way and blocks it the other
way.

And then learn to cope with poor quality water ... ducks and runs.

All best,
Tony

Re: CSHello...

2006-01-10 Thread Robert Berger
Greetings,

I have preached for years on silver lists that to know what you are doing is
very simple and not very expensive.

1. Get a digital multimeter

  2. Fix the geometry of your cell. Set spacing about 2 to 3 inches and lock in
place with plastic lid. Use two part epoxy or a glue gun.

  3. Use any voltage that you choose. I like 36 volts, but 27 works great. Just
be consistent.

  4. Record the current reading about every 15 minutes on your first run and
draw a graph of time vs. current (Time on the horizontal axis and current of
the vertical)
If you don't know how to do this then LEARN HOW !!

  5. Determine the wet area of the anode.

  6. Stop the process when the current density (mA divided by wet area) reaches
1-1.5 mA per square inch.

If you can't do this then buy someones unit. :-(

  Ole Bob

Re: CSHello...

2006-01-09 Thread sol
I'm not (quite) an idiot either, but I made a homemade generator also.
It taught me a lot, but I hated all the wires everywhere, alligator
clips, and the tubes and wire for the fish bubblerplus more wires
and clips to clip in the multimeter. It was just too fiddly and
cumbersome for me to want to actually use it, but I did learn.
Hook in a small multimeter and watch the current change as a batch
processes, was really interesting. It gave me an idea of how variable
things can be. And it can give a more accurate stopping place than
timing. I could have put in a current limiter, but I already had my
silverpuppy, can't remember if I already also had my SG-6 or not. I also
fiddled around with using a very long U shape anode and a short straight
cathode.
I would never use it unless I needed to hook it up to batteries, but it
was interesting, and fun, and I got a much better grasp of what the
process of making CS is like.

I had endless trouble making clear CS with my silverpuppy at first. Ken
helped me a lot, but eventually I found out it was the *first* thing he
told me when I had trouble--it's the water. He was endlessly patient
with me, supplying ideas and things to try, while I worked through every
other possibility before coming round to accept it was the water. Once
I got my own distiller so I could control the purity of my DW it has
been easy to make perfectly clear CS repeatably. Commercial DW isn't
pure enough. I understand it is fine for most people in most areas of
the country, but not for me.

2006-01-09 Thread Carol Ann
Hi Sol,
More often than not, beginning at the beginning is a good beginning. :-)
Especially when trying to master a concept. Working a home made generator for
a while, especially if large quantities are not required and there are no
immediate medical emergencies (New Orleans would be a great example, flu
epidemic would be another) sets the stage for larger, more efficient production
later, if one so chooses. Kudos to the experienced CS listers with infinite
patience, lots of time and willingness to help others understand the process.
Even those not interested in fiddling, perferring the ready made versions, who
still read the list... they cannot help but learn somthing along the way, if by
osmosis only.

Eventually, I may buy a CMaster to make larger batches.

Hi Tracy,
I have great success with a portable ultrasonic nebulizer from

likes using it. I can mist into eyes and ears with it also.

Might be worth a look.

I believe Ode (Ken who makes the silverpuppy), has said there is a
little ultrasonic humidifier can be used much like a nebulizer: It looks
like a little bullet shaped thing, the Walmart here has them for $39. My
Omron Elite hand held nebulizer cost me $65 but you can get them online
for around $55.
Hope this helps, if you want the model number of the ultrasonic
humidifier Ken said he likes, write to the list and ask him. I can't
remember the brand.

Re: CSHello...

2006-01-09 Thread Tracy Bennett

Sol, Thank you very informative.

Basically I bought a simple two lead generator from Allison's Apothecary now
called (http://www.sunstoneherbals.com/) some 4 years ago. It was the 34.95
model which was basically three 9 volt batteries in series wrapped in a
black 3x5 in hard plastic case. The silver leads protruded from the center
of the case and it has been making Cs for me ever since. Well, about a month
ago a friend of mine said I should buy the Ionization version because it
could be more available to the body when used for respiratory treatments and
not ingested.

I have been looking ever since to find out what the difference is between my
unit and this other unit. The other unit is
http://www.health2us.com/colloid.htm for $295 plus shipping. Is this unit
somehow better than the unit with three 9 volt batteries I bought for $34.95

My friend might be misguided but he says I am wasting my time with anything
other than the fancy and expensive machine.

As always any help is much appreciated.

Thank you,

Tracy

Recently I built a 15000 volt AC unit and have been making

I am still learning, and appreciate the info I receive from your feedback.

I read about mixing CS with DMSO. Is this strictly for topical applications.

CSHello I'm New.

2004-07-11 Thread patti HISCOX
Hello I'm new to this list and only just discovered CS yesterday via an email I
recieved. I am VERY interested in the health giving properties of CS. I have a
14 year old daughter who was diagnosed with 'Hashimoto's disease when she was
just 7 years old. Her immune system attacks her thyroid for no known reason and
when she picks up a virus/germ she goes down like a sack of potatoes because
her immune system is so busy attacking her thyroid it has'nt the proper
resources to fight her latest virus! From what I have read about CS it sounds
like it could be a Godsend for her. I also have a one year old African Grey
parrot, and was wondering if I could use CS for him? If so, what would the
dosage be?

Many thanks

Patti

Thank you for your message, and yes, I do want your story. I am interested
in a direct personal experience.I tend to feel that many claims are

then they are selling the CS generator

did a search on the web.I found I still had the address on my

Re: CSHello - New to List

2001-12-21 Thread Marshalee Hallett
Dear Kathryn,
Here`s my story!
I`m still alive thanks to Colloidal Silver. I`m currently a
returned student at Brigham Young University at age 49. I took a short break
(29 years!) to raise 4 kids. I`m studying to become a professional
Genealogist. CS keeps me going!

In the summer of 1990 I was living in Arkansas, where I was bitten by a
tiny tick on my lower leg. When I got the bullseye rash I knew what it was,
as I`d read an article about Lyme Disease in a magazine. So I went to the
doctor, who knew nothing about LD, and he undertreated me.
So the Lyme kept recurring. (Whenever I stopped the doxycycline, in a few
days I`d be back into active LD. This happened 6 times in nearly 6 years.)
Well, by that time I was living in Wisconsin, and the doc there refused to
believe that Lyme can withstand ABX and maddeningly refused to even look at
the computer info. I had brought that showed it can. He then refused to give
me any more doxy. In a few months I was dreadfully ill.
So finally I asked the Good Lord to either let me die soon, or help me to
get rid of the LD so I can do my beloved Genealogy. He heard me!
A couple of weeks later I got a letter from an old high school buddy. She`d
gotten a box in the mail, and on papers used as packing was some writing.
Curious, she read it. It was Mark Metcalf`s info. on CS: what it was, and
how to make it! It mentioned Lyme as one of the diseases it can cure, so she
sent the info. to me. My son and I went all over Kenosha and Racine, looking
for silver wire, found some, put the gadget together, and wihin 3 days of
starting the CS, I noticed that I felt a lot better! For the first time in
weeks I could shut my teeth properly, I could think clearly again, and my
joints weren`t aching. It took about 7 months for most of the damage to
heal. What a wonderful thing!
I have since used CS for numerous UTI`s caused by gallbladder removal, as
the Lyme had destroyed my GB. Any time I`d feel a cold coming on, I knew it
was time for fresh batteries.
I also take some every day as a preventive, which is fortunate, for I was
bitten by (possibly Brown Recluse) spiders while in Vallejo, CA. I have some
marks, not skin grafts, thanks to the CS.
I also give it to my Pug dogs and birds. It stopped a vet-diagnosed case of
Giardia in a baby cockatiel.
I now have 2 missions in life, working on the genealogy, and sharing the CS
information with all who will listen!
Love,
Marshalee Hallett,
mom to 4 and grandma to 4, 3 living.

I`m still alive thanks to Colloidal Silver. I`m currently a

I know what you mean. When I was on vacation, I was bit by a tick just outside
of Lyme Conn, and got the rash then was ill by the time I got back home. The
doctor refused to even consider that I might have lyme, and refused to give me
any antibiotics since he saw nothing in his blood test (which did not include
lyme). After a year of trying to get him to treat me, I was on crutches, and
sleeping 16 hours a day. I went to another doctor who tested me and found I did
have lyme, but it was too late to get rid of with oral antibiotics. $10,000
later and two sets of IV with Rocepherin (sp?) I was able to lick it, just
because my first doctor didn't want to take the trouble of learning about lyme
disease, or at least prescribing $3 worth of penicillin to knock it out in the
first week.

CShello to my friends

2001-11-22 Thread DeathBH
Dear Friends:

I am writing to you because we are regular email subscribers. I am going to
shut down this email for a couple of days to receive email ONLY from AOL
subscribers. I am getting so many spam emails per day, I can hardly manage
this account. Usually when you do this, the email servers automatically
delete you after about a week. I am averaging over 50 spam emails per day
per AOL account and it has become quite time consuming even hitting the
delete key on that many accounts. Those of you that have an AOL account will
not be affected.

In the interim, you may use my yahoo account to correspond with me
(becomes_...@yahoo.com). I am going to shut down these controls on most of
my AOL accounts for one week. That should take care of the problem - I hope.
So about next Thursday or Friday, you may add me back to your address books.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jeannine

Litre? That does it; start the revolushun!

BTW, the Canadian roofing shingle industry made a mess when they
introduced metric sized shingles in the U.S. in the late 70's, early
80's.
Roofs that normally would be re-roofed (new shingles installed over
old) had to be completely removed to accomodate the American standard
type, costing an approx. average 30% increase.
(but) Maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Hi PJ,

I would have to debate that a once a week bath would be enough to
eliminate the allergy causing dander with a cat. It might help, with a
hairless a daily wipe down does help, but for a real dander allergy sufferer
I don't believe it'd be enough. I am very firm in explaining this to allergy
sufferers when they inquire about our cats are under the belief that they
won't react badly. If the allergy is to hair, we have the answer here. If
the allergy is to dander, a protein in the cat's saliva that dries flakes
off into the air from them grooming, you will still be allergic to any cat.
Regular bathing might help, but I'd be real careful if the allergies are
severe.

Being new to the list I want to ask everyone's forgiveness if I am off
topic in responding to post in reference to the cats. I will minimize any
reference to them in my posts, but hope that it is okay if I respond to
posts about them with an answer that I will try to make short to the
point. I love visiting about them, but realize that this isn't a cat list. I
don't know yet how far ya'll wander from CS, but will try to remain within
list limits always.
