Thanks Cheri, on one census it said 1883 and one said 1887 but I believe
1883 is correct because they had a daughter in Portugal in 1882 and another
daughter born in Hawaii 1883. On his headstone his name is listed as Caton
de Souza born about 1860 in Sao Miguel. His name was also listed as

Looking into my notes she was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, around 1872 and
died in Paauilo, Hi 1943. Her dad was Jose Freitas Silva born Aug 05, 1884,
(I don't know where) and died October 22, 1908 probably in Paauilo because
he is buried at Kukaiau County Cemetery next to Paauilo.
Sorry about that Cheri, I was looking at the wrong line. The actual name is
John DeSilva Barboza born 06/22/1847 and died 01/11/1931.
