Scott,
Your response isn't clear to me. Are you saying what Charles wrote is
accurate (SMFPRMxx setting doesn't really matter) or that SMFPRMxx
always has the final say (as I always thought it did up until Charles posted).

(of all places). But I guess since System REXX is covered in the
Authorized
Assembler Services Guide, this isn't a shock. :-)

some members of this list could attest to, it has not been the most
reliable tool over the years and is not an officially supported either.

Is the system or sysplex defined to the configuration?

So is the system name defined to the configuration?
BTW, a monoplex still has a sysplex name unless it is running sysplex(local).

So the system does not come up far enough without SMS for you to
logon to TSO/ISPF and get into ISMF?
If you are doing this from a driving system, the way that sort of issue
is dealt with is via SSA. For VSAM, you do that via define path.

should be
given the user's input.
I think more the latter, but perhaps some of both. I personally didn't have
the problems
so without searching the archives I can't tell you for sure. I do recall some
posts
in particular from Barbara Nitz within the last couple of years.

swag is the same.
While the structure is duplexed, operations to the structure are maintained
in a synchronized manner
And I did refer to CF CPU time in my other post and understood that was what
you were referring to as well. That part of your question was clear.

send back the data.
But is that behavior different for system managed duplexing vs. user
managed duplexing?
