No, Protel 99SE does have layer specific keep out tracks. You can either place a track on the keep out layer, in which case it will affect all layers, or a keep out track on a specific layer, in which case it will only affect copper on that layer. Mike. |-+

Thanks to all who replied. Though I never really found the problem, I have managed to cure it. I reduced the hardware acceleration on the graphics card by a couple of notches. It effectively disables all advanced features. Not really ideal, but it has not had any detrimental affects. Thanks,

There is a way around this bug. Open the Client99SE.ini file with a text editor (windows or WINNT directory), find the entry DisplaySplashScreen=True, and change it to False. Protel will not show the logo on startup, and the minimise bug will disappear. Mike.

Oddly enough, I found that the copy and paste from PrintPreview nearly always caused problems with arcs becoming circles. Thats why I resorted to the slightly lower quality way of using the screen capture method. Mike.
