Hi, This does not help with the original question... The compression is done within the ARAPI on the client side before it is sent to the server using ARCreateEntry/ARSetEntry/ARMergeEntry. Retrieval of attachments are done using the ARGetEntryBLOB call. It is uncompressed at the client side

Seems like the load balancer in front of the remedy servers is not useful. Sounds like your load balancer is just acting as a router that provides nat. My understanding of what you are saying: - remedy server is in a private network (10/8, 192.168/16, or 172.16/12) behind a load balancer -

Yup, its not an upgrade as far as ITSM is concerned but more of a migration effort. BMC recently has published tools that would help you to migrate the application configuration data across to 7. I used a part of the tool way before it was published but haven't used the fully published version.
