Rich, That restore function is available in KX3 Utility - Restore Configuration.  Of course you should have saved a configuration so you can restore it.  Save a configuration any time you make significant changes to your KX3 (not a firmware update).  The file is placed in your computer.

Larry, One local ham had me change the UHF SO239 connectors to N connectors because he does not trust the UHF connectors. I know he recently sold it, maybe it is the same one. It is easy to change them back to UHF type, but it definitely did not come from the factory that way. 73, Don W3FPR

Martin, I have not done it, but the major problem I see is the question of "how to get the signal inside the enclosure". There is precious little room on the rear panel. You could go through the right side panel depending on how you locate the oscillator with respect to the transverter.

I suspect that K2 SN is below 3000. If so, add the Alternate AF Gain Wiring mod. While you are doing that, I recommend that you replace the AF Gain control. The easiest way to change the control is to cut the pins close to the body, then alternately heat the two mounting tabs while rocking
